Quinnipiac Women's Golf Selected 11th In Northeast Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll

HAMDEN, Conn. - The Quinnipiac University women's golf team was selected to finish 11th in the Northeast Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll, as announced by the league office on Feb. 18. The Bobcats open 2011, their inaugural season, under Quinnipiac Head Coach John O'Connor. O'Connor previously served as head coach of the men's golf team at Quinnipiac.

Fairleigh Dickinson was chosen first in the poll with 10 first-place votes, while Sacred Heart was picked second with one first-place vote. Long Island and Robert Morris were tabbed third and fourth, respectively. Saint Francis (Pa.) took the fifth spot, while Central Connecticut State and Monmouth were slated in the sixth and seventh slots, respectively. Mount St. Mary's, Wagner and St. Francis (Pa.) rounded out the poll in the eighth, ninth and 10th positions, with Quinnipiac in 11th.
