Women's Basketball Names Conference High Seven Players To MAAC All-Academic Team

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Seven members of the Quinnipiac University women's basketball team – Ellen Cannon (West Chester, Pa.), Katie Carroll (Westlake, Ohio), Samantha Guastella (Red Bank, N.J.), Jasmine Martin (Sicklerville, N.J.), Maria Napolitano (Cincinnati, Ohio), Jaci Oskam (Glenmont, N.Y.), and Camryn Warner (Keene, N.H.) – were all named to the 2013-14 MAAC Women's Basketball All-Academic Team, announced on Friday, March 7 by the league office.

The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference released a total of 45 student-athletes that make up the 2013-2014 Women's Basketball All-Academic Team. To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student athlete must finish at least two semesters at their institution and must hold at least a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale.

Quinnipiac University led all MAAC schools with seven students named to the all-academic team. Rider University and Monmouth University each added six student athletes, while Canisius College had five on the all-academic team. Iona College, Manhattan College, Niagara University, and Saint Peter's University each had four players named to the all-academic team while Siena College added one representative of their own.
