SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The fourth-seeded Quinnipiac University women's basketball team (21-11, 14-6 MAAC) continues its quest towards a second consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance on Monday, Mar. 10 when the Bobcats take on Marist (26-6, 18-2 MAAC) for the MAAC Championship Game, available live nationally on ESPNU. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m. at the MassMutual Center in Springfield.
Quinnipiac advanced to the finals after defeating No. 1 seeded Iona, 79-68, in the semifinal matchup on Sunday. Jasmine Martin (Sicklerville, N.J.) and Brittany McQuain (Independence,Mo.) paced the Bobcats with 17 points each.
Both Quinnipiac and Marist made an appearance in the NCAA Tournament last season. Quinnipiac won the Northeast Conference title while Marist won their eighth straight conference title.
