Women’s Basketball Featured in Hartford Courant and New Haven Register

HAMDEN, Conn. – The Quinnipiac women's basketball team was recently featured in two Connecticut newspapers on Tuesday, January 29, 2013. The Bobcats defeated Central Connecticut on Monday night, 82-73, at the TD Bank Sports Center and improved to 17-2 overall and now own the best start to a season in program history.

Senior Felicia Barron (Springfield, Mass.) finished with a game-high 25 points, grabbed three rebounds and dished out a pair of helpers. In addition to Barron, the Bobcats featured nine other players in the scoring column. Jasmine Martin (Sicklerville, N.J.) chipped in with nine points, Ellen Cannon (West Chester, Pa.) added eight, and Lisa Lebak (Robbinsville, N.J.), Brittany McQuain (Independence, Mo.) and Nikoline Ostergaard (Vedbaek, Denmark) all finished with seven points.

The Bobcats are back in action on Saturday afternoon at Wagner College in Staten Island, N.Y. Tip-off is scheduled for 1 p.m. at the Spiro Sports Center.
