Bobcats Face The Bulldogs
Sitting atop the Northeast Conference standings, the Bobcats continue their 2012-13 season on the road against the Robert Morris Colonials on Saturday evening in Moon Township, Pa.. The teams will tip-off at 4 p.m. at the Charles L. Sewall Center. Robert Morris enters the game with an overall mark of 3-12 and a 2-2 record in the conference. The Bobcats are 13- 2 thus far, looking to improve upon their best start since the 2007-08 campaign.

Scouting Robert Morris
The Colonials enter Monday's game with an overall record of 3-12 and 2-2 in NEC competition. Most recently, the Colonials  fell to Fairleigh Dickinson, 68-80, on the road in Teaneck N.J. Junior forward Artemis Spanou leads RMU in scoring, averaging 18.6 points per outing to go along with 14.5 rebounds per game. Spanou became the third player at RMU and 17th in NEC history to record at least 1,000 points, 500 rebounds, 200 assists and 100 steals in a career. Second in scoring for the Colonials is Lou Mataly who averages 8.9 points per outing and 2.6 rebounds a game. Recently against the Knights, Spanouand freshman guard Ashley Ravelli shared team-high scoring honors with 18 points each. Spanou added 13 rebounds, four assists and two steals.  Ravelli drilled four three-pointers and dished out four assists. Freshman LouMataly scored 11 points.

All-Time Against The Colonials
Saturday marks the 25th meeting between Quinnipiac and Robert Morris, with the Bobcats leading the all-time series, 14-10. The Bobcats are 2-3 in the last five meetings between the two programs. The last time these two programs met was on Feb. 25 at the TD Bank Sports Center in Hamden, Conn.  The Bobcats fell to the Colonials, 72-62.

Last Time Out
Senior Felicia Barron carried the Bobcats with 19 points and four rebounds while junior Brittany McQuain turned in her second straight double-double performance with 12 points and 13 rebounds as the Quinnipiac University women's basketball team cruised past the Bryant Bulldogs, 85-62, at the Chace Athletic Center in Smithfield, R.I. Four different Quinnipiac players finished in double figures, led by Barron's 16 points on 7-of-10 shooting from the floor.  Sophomore Gillian Abshire compiled a career high of 10 assists while also adding eight points and three steals. Sophomore Nikoline Ostergaard recorded 10 points and five rebounds against the Bulldogs. Quinnipiac was able to hang on to their lead through the second half as Jasmine Martin had 10 points in the second half to finish with 13 points, four rebounds and three assists in the outing.  Freshman Maria Napolitiano added nine points and three rebounds.

RPI Rankings
The Bobcats are ranked 69th in the latest RPI poll, released on Wednesday, January 16, 2013. The weekly rankings are a based on wins and losses compared to their strength of schedule.

Mid-Major Top 25
The Quinnipiac women's basketball team was ranked 12th in the latest College Insider Top-25 Mid-Major Poll, announced on Tuesday, January 15, 2013. Their latest ranking is their best since joining NCAA Division I and their 13-2 record is their best start since the 2007-08 campaign.

Among The Nation's Best
Quinnipiac is currently ranked eighth in the country with a turnover margin of plus- 7.21 a game. The Bobcats have 234 turnovers compared to 343 from their opponents. The Bobcats also rank 31st in the nation in steals per game at 12.0 per game as well as 21st in the nation from long range shooting 36.1 percent.

Stealing the Show
Senior Felicia Barron currently ranks tenth in the nation in steals per game (3.71). So far this year the guard has compiled 52 steals this season. She collected a game-high of eight steals in the games against Hartford (12/16).  Last year the Springfield, Mass. native ended the season leading the country with 133 steals.  

Dishing Out
Sophomore point guard Gillian Abshire currently ranks 29th in the nation in assist-to-turnover ratio (2.09).  For the season, 'Boo' has 77 assists to only 33 turnovers. In the game against Bryant (1/14), Abshire collected a career high of 10 assists and only one turnover in her best performance of her sophomore campaign. 

McQuain Named NEC Player of the Week
Junior Brittany McQuain was recognized by Northeast Conference as Player of the Week for the week of Jan. 14, 2013. McQuain averaged 16.5 points and 11.5 rebounds per contest over a two-game swing that featured a home fate against defending NEC champion Sacred Heart and a road game at Bryant.  The power forward shot 54 percent from the field during the stretch and was charged with only two personal fouls all weekend.
