HAMDEN, Conn. – Quinnipiac women's basketball senior guard Felicia Barron (Springfield, Mass.) was named College Sports Madness NEC Player of the Week for her performance against the University of Rhode Island on Saturday, Nov. 24 at the TD Bank Center in Hamden, Conn. The announcement came from College Sports Madness on Monday, Nov. 26.
Barron lead the Bobcats with 17 points, on 6-of-13 shooting from the floor, as well as three steals in Quinnipiac's home opener to lead the Bobcats over the Rams, 76-60. The Springfield native also collected five rebounds and four assists to help lead the Bobcats over the Rams for a fourth straight time.
The Bobcats will continue their season this week on the road against intrastate opponent Yale University on Wednesday, November 28 at the Payne Whitney Gym on the university's campus in New Haven, Conn. Tipoff is set at 7 p.m.
