Bobcats Host The Blackbirds
The Quinnipiac University women’s basketball team (10-4, 2-1 NEC) hosts Northeast Conference foe LIU Brooklyn (12-3, 1-2 NEC) on Monday, Jan. 9 at 7 p.m. at the TD Bank Sports Center. In their most recent outing, the Bobcats defeated St. Francis (N.Y.), 59-43, while the Blackbirds dropped a league contest to Sacred Heart, 74-59.

Scouting LIU Brooklyn
The Blackbirds enter Monday night at 12-3 on the year and 1-2 in conference play, while they stand undefeated at home, 7-0. Prior to a 74-59 loss at Sacred Heart on Jan. 7, LIU split a pair of NEC games earlier in the season. The Blackbirds were outlasted by Mount St. Mary’s, 44-43, but took down Wagner, 72-41, in early December. LIU also won the Courtyard LaGuardia Turkey Classic over the Thanksgiving holiday, defeating opponents in Charlotte and La Salle. Two Blackbirds currently average double figures, including Ashley Palmer who leads the team and NEC with 19.5 points per game, while Ebony Davis posts 10 points a contest. Both student-athletes also lead LIU in rebounds, averaging above seven boards per game, which rank in the top-10 amongst league opponents. Palmer and Davis also stand at the top of the conference rankings with field-goal percentages above the .500 mark. Overall, the Blackbirds average 63.8 points per game with a scoring margin of +6.8, while pulling down an average of 39.2 rebounds per outing.

All-Time Against The Blackbirds
Monday night marks the 25^th meeting between Quinnipiac and LIU with the Blackbirds leading the all-time series, 13-11. In their most recent meeting, the Bobcats lost at LIU, 70-58, on Feb. 5, 2011. Brittany McQuain led QU in the outing as she posted a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds, while Ashley Palmer registered a game-high 24 points for the Blackbirds.

Last Time Out
In their most recent outing, junior Felicia Barron matched a career-high 25 points to lead the Bobcats to a 59-43 NEC victory at St. Francis (N.Y.) on Saturday, Jan. 7. Freshman Jasmine Martin also recorded double figures with 13 points, while sophomore Camryn Warner pulled down a game-high six rebounds. Quinnipiac outscored the Terriers from the floor as they shot 36 percent (18-for-50), while out-rebounding St. Francis (N.Y.), 36-to-28. The Bobcats scored 28 points off 33 turnovers in the league contest.

100 Wins On The Road
Quinnipiac Women’s Basketball Head Coach Tricia Fabbri earned her 100^th road-win as her picked up a conference win at St. Francis (N.Y.) at the Pope Physical Education Center in Brooklyn Heights, N.Y.

The Last Time Since…
The Bobcats held the Terriers to under fifty points (43) on Saturday, which is the first time since QU held Delaware to 41 points during the 2008-09 season.

Stealing Streaks
QU collected a season-high 18 steals in its victory over St. Francis (N.Y.) on Jan. 7.

Charity Stripe Stats
The Bobcats shot a season-best 81.5 (22-of-27) percent from the free-throw line against the Terriers on Saturday afternoon.

Scoring Margin Magic
Quinnipiac posted a season-high final scoring margin of +16 after defeating St. Francis (N.Y.), 59-43. The Bobcats currently average a scoring margin of +1.8.

Guastella’s Great Game
Freshman Samantha Guastella registered a career-high 16 points and matched a career-high eight boards in the Bobcats’ loss against St. Joseph’s.

Still At The Top In Steals
Junior Felicia Barron continues to lead the nation, league and team in steals with 75 on the year and 5.4 steals per game.

The Scoring Situation
The Bobcats continue to lead the Northeast Conference as the top scoring team with 65.5 points per game. The team also ranks in the top-three amongst NEC schools with a +1.8 scoring margin.

Dominating Double-Doubles
Sophomore Brittany McQuain ranks in the top-20 in the national standings with seven double-doubles on the year. The sophomore has combined for 14 career double-doubles.

She Shoots, She Scores
Felicia Barron is currently in the top-five of the NEC rankings as she leads QU with 16.4 points per game. Barron is the only Bobcat to have reached the 200-point mark with 230 total points this season.

Ranking In Rebounds
Forward Brittany McQuain leads the team and ranks in the top-five in league play with 9.6 rebounds per game, which also stands in the top-50 of the national leader board. The 5-11 sophomore has collected 134 boards this year.

The Bobcats Can Block
Sophomore forward Camryn Warner ranks fourth in the conference standings in blocks per game (1.5) with 21 total on the year.

Featured Freshman
Freshman Jasmine Martin leads the Bobcats and ranks in the top of the NEC standings with a 79.6 free-throw shooting percentage. Martin currently ranks second on the team in points per game (11.3) and is one of three Bobcats to have reached the 100-point scoring mark with 158 points in her rookie campaign.

 Felicia From Three-Point Range
Felicia Barron is in the top of the conference rankings in three-point field goals made as she averages 1.86 three-pointers per game. The 5-7 guard leads the Bobcats with a total of 26 three-pointers this season.

Bobcats On The Boards
Quinnipiac rank second in league action in rebounding offense as they currently average 42.6 boards per game. The Bobcats are fifth in the conference standings in rebounding margin (+1.8).

Leading The League
The Bobcats are at the top of the NEC rankings in assist-turnover ratio (0.8) and also lead the conference with a turnover margin of +3.8. Quinnipiac ranks second in assists per game (14.1) and second in steals per contest (11.0) amongst the NEC competition.

The Bobcats Win When…
Quinnipiac has earned each of its 10 wins this season when holding its opponents to 69 points or less. The Bobcats have also gone 5-0 when leading at halftime and 7-0 when shooting better than their opponent.

What’s Ahead For The Bobcats
After hosting LIU, Quinnipiac will play four consecutive conference games on the road starting with a pair of contests in Pennsylvania against Francis (Pa.) on Saturday, Jan. 14 at 1 p.m. and Robert Morris on Monday, Jan. 16 at 7 p.m. The Bobcats will then face Bryant on Jan. 21 at 1 p.m. and Sacred Heart on Jan. 23 at 7 p.m.
