The Quinnipiac University women's basketball team travels
to play in a Northeast Conference match-up against Wagner on
Monday, January 24 at 7:00 p.m. at the Spiro Sports Center in
Staten Island, N.Y. The Bobcats are coming off its third-straight
NEC win of the season against Mount St. Mary's, 74-60, on Saturday.
The Seahawks' Kelly Clark scored a three-pointer at the buzzer to
beat Sacred Heart, 66-65, in Wagner's most recent outing.
Quinnipiac is currently 6-1 in conference play, while Wagner is 2-5
in the NEC. Both teams hold an overall record of
9-9.

Scouting The Seahawks
With a 2-5 record, Wagner is currently ranked ninth,
alongside Bryant, in the NEC. The Seahawks went 2-0 last week,
beating Saint Francis (N.Y.), 73-59, on Jan. 17 and Sacred Heart,
66-65, in their most recent outing on Jan. 22. Junior center Kelly
Clark nailed her first career three-pointer to beat the final
buzzer and lift Wagner past the pioneers on Monday. Senior guard
Megan Mahoney led the Seahawks with a game-high 22 points in the
win. Mahoney has compiled 999 career points. Overall, Wagner
averages 63.4 points and 37.8 rebounds per game. The team has
earned a 40.3 percent field-goal percentage this season. Clark is
fifth in the NEC, averaging a team-high 13.6 points per game. In
addition, Clark leads the conference with a .554 field goal
percentage. Ashley Olsen leads the NEC in minutes played, averaging
36.72 minutes per game, and averages a team-high 8.3 rebounds per
game. Mahoney has made an impact for the Seahawks averaging 13.1
points and 6.1 rebounds per game.
Last Time Against Wager
The Bobcats won its first NEC contest of the 2010-11
season against Wagner, 85-72, on Dec. 4. The Bobcats shot 46.6
percent from the floor, while the Seahawks shot 37.5 percent in the
match-up. Quinnipiac outrebounded Wager, 45-32. Each team had four
different players score in double-figures. Ashley Olsen led the
Seahawks with a game-high 18 points and nine rebounds, while Felicia
Barron led Quinnipiac with a team-high 14 points in the
win.
All-Time Against The Seahawks
Monday's game marks the 26th meeting between
Quinnipiac and Wagner. The Bobcats lead the all-time series, 19-6,
having won 16 contests against the Seahawks, dating back to the
2002 season.
Last Time Out
Quinnipiac won its third straight NEC contest against
Mount St. Mary's, 74-60, in its most recent outing. The Bobcats led
for the entire game, for their second time this season. Quinnipiac
held a 43-21 advantage at the end of the first half and increased
its lead to as many as 28 points with only 15 minutes remaining in

Magic Versus Mount St. Mary's
After scoring 22 points against Bryant, Felicia
Barron broke her career record again, as she scored a game-high
25 points against Mount St. Mary's. Barron has posted
double-figures in 11 games this season. In addition, the sophomore
sank six-of-seven three-point attempts against the Mount. Mandy
Pennewell is the last Quinnipiac player to score six or more
three-pointers in a single game, six at Central Connecticut on Jan.
24, 2010.
Hill At The Mount
Freshman Brittany
Hill recorded career-high eight points and five rebounds
against the Mountaineers. She scored each of her four field-goal
attempts in the contest.
Leading Ladies
Senior center Courtney
Kaminski leads Quinnipiac with 13 points per game, while Barron
averages 12.3 points per game. Barron also leads the Bobcats in
assists and steals, averaging 4.2 assists and 2.1 steals per game.
Brittany
McQuain has compiled a team-high 98 rebounds this season, while
Kaminski has the highest rebound-per-game average (5.7) on the
team.
Bobcats Beat Bulldogs
Quinnipiac beat Bryant, 85-74, on Jan. 17. The Bobcats led
for the entire game and held their biggest lead, a 20-point
advantage, 46-26, towards the end of the first half. The team had
two 20-plus scorers, for the first time this year. Felicia

Kaminski posted 22 points and 21 points, respectively. In
addition, Brittany
McQuain compiled 13 points and eight rebounds, while Kari
Goodchild put up 13 points.
Three's Company
In the Bryant match-up, the Bobcats shot a season-high
69.2 percent from behind the arc, as they finished 9-of-13
three-pointers The last time Quinnipiac made 8 or more
three-pointers in a single game, was at Robert Morris on Feb. 20,
2009.
Bobcats Versus Blue Devils
The Bobcats won their fourth NEC game of the 2010-11
season against in-state rival Central Connecticut State, 76-75, on
Saturday, January 15. Sophomore Felicia
Barron's three-pointer at the buzzer gave Quinnipiac its
one-point lead in the victory. Overall, the Bobcats outshot the
Blue Devils from both the field and the line. Quinnipiac scored 17
second-chance points off of 14 offensive rebounds in the contest.

Senior Courtney
Kaminski scored a career-high 32 points and pulled-down eight
rebounds in Saturday's game. The last Quinnipiac woman's basketball
player to score above 30 points was Erin Kerner, with 32 points,
against St. Francis (Pa.) on Jan. 10, 2009.
Barron Beats The Buzzer
Felicia
Barron made an impact in the Bobcats' fifth home win of the
season. Besides scoring the game-winning basket, she also compiled
11 points and a career-high nine rebounds.
Assisting the Wins
The Bobcats have tallied 20 assists in each of their last three
games, against the Mount, Bryant and CCSU. Quinnipiac has earned
20-plus assists in four games this season, also recording a
season-high 21 assists against Wagner earlier in the year on Dec.
4.
Charity Stripe Stats
In each of the Bobcats' nine wins this season, the team
has outscored their opponent from the free-throw line. The Bobcats
recorded a season-high 28 free-throws at Monmouth on Jan. 7,
2011.
1,000-Points And Beyond
Courtney
Kaminski is looking to close down on 1,200 career points in the
upcoming games. The senior center currently has compiled 1,178
career-points, ranking her 16th amongst Quinnipiac
women's basketball players in all-time career points. Kaminski
became the 17th Quinnipiac women's basketball player to score 1,000
points, as she scored 10 points in Quinnipiac's home-opener against
Holy Cross this season.
Double Trouble
Two Bobcats have collected a double-double this year, including Courtney
Kaminski and freshman Brittany
McQuain. Kaminski has compiled two double-doubles this season.
The senior posted 10 points and 10 rebounds against FDU and
recorded 14 points and 11 rebounds in the Bobcats second outing
against UNH. McQuain scored 10 points and pulled-down 10 rebounds
against Southern California on Nov. 28.
Making A Comeback
Since posting a -25.0 scoring margin for the month of November,
Quinnipiac has since narrowed the gap to -4.4 points. After falling
to Holy Cross in a game held at the TD Bank Sports Center, the
Bobcats have gone undefeated at home (6-0), beating NEC opponents
Wagner, Mount St. Mary's, Central Connecticut, and Bryant.
Making Noise In the NEC
Quinnipiac is second in the conference in scoring offense,
averaging 64.9 points per game. The team is also ranked third
amongst NEC teams in assists and steals, averaging 13.83 assists
per game and 8.83 steals per game, this year.
Outstanding Offense
Three Bobcats are ranked in the top-30 of the NEC for
scoring offense. Courtney
Kaminski is ranked ninth amongst conference players, averaging
13.0 points per game, while Felicia
Barron is 13th, averaging 12.3 points per game. Jacinda
Dunbar averages 9.3 points, rounding out the group in
28th. Barron has tallied 76 assists this season and
averages 4.22 assists per game, ranking her fifth in the NEC for
assists. In addition, she is sixth amongst NEC players with 32
three-pointers on the year and leads the conference in
assist/turnover ratio. Dunbar is fourth in the conference with a
.492 field-goal percentage.
Dedicated Defense
Brittany
McQuain continues to lead the Bobcats and the NEC with her
defensive efforts. She ranks seventh in the conference, having
blocked 18 shots this season. She also ranks high amongst NEC
players in defensive rebounds (4.22).
What's Ahead In The NEC
The Bobcats will host Robert Morris on Saturday, Jan. 29
at 12:00 p.m. and Saint Francis (Pa.) on Monday, Jan. 31, at 7:00
p.m. The games will be held at the TD Bank Sports Center in Hamden,
Conn.
