Women Return Home The Quinnipiac University women's basketball team hosts
Central Connecticut State on Saturday, Jan. 15 at 12:00 p.m. at the
TD Bank Sports Center. The Bobcats enter Saturday's game coming off
a 55-52 loss at Fairleigh Dickinson Monday night. The Blue Devils
won their first Northeast Conference contest of the season, 53-33,
in their most recent match-up against Saint Francis (N.Y.), also on
Jan. 10. Quinnipiac is currently 6-9 on the year and 3-1 in the
NEC, while Central Connecticut is 8-6 overall and 1-3 in conference
play.

accepting donations to raise money for the Juvenile Diabetes
Research Foundation, in their support of Team Amanda, at the game

the Blue Devils After falling to NEC
opponents, Fairleigh Dickinson, 51-46, Monmouth, 56-43, and Long
Island, 63-51, the Blue Devils won their first conference game of
the 2010-11 season against St. Francis (N.Y.), 53-33, on Monday,
Jan. 10. Central Connecticut State outshot St. Francis (N.Y.)
45.5-to-22.2 percent in the victory. The team also recorded seven
steals and six blocks. Leanne Crockett led the Blue Devils as she
collected a double-double, posting 14 points and 12 rebounds. In
addition, Kerrianne Dugan compiled 10 points and five rebounds in
the win. Overall, Central Connecticut State is 4-1 at home and 4-4
on the road. The team averages 53.1 points per game and 41.5
rebounds per game. The Blue Devils are shooting 35.9 percent from
the floor, 58.4 percent from the free-throw line and 23.3 percent
from behind the arc. CCSU is led by Dugan, who averages 11.9 points
per game, while Crockett averages a team-high 9.6 rebounds per
game.
All-Time
Against CCSU Saturday's game marks the 38th meeting between Quinnipiac
and Central Connecticut State. The Bobcats lead the all-time
series, 25-12. Prior to a loss against the Blue Devils last
season, the Bobcats won 18-straight games against CCSU, dating
back to 2001. Last season, the Bobcats went 1-1 with the Blue
Devils. Quinnipiac fell, 78-70, on Jan. 23, 2010 as Jacinda
Dunbar led Quinnipiac with 14 points and 13 rebounds, while Courtney
Kaminski scored a game-high 20 points. The Bobcats won, 56-45
on Jan. 14, 2010 and were led by Kaminski who recorded a
double-double, compiling 10 points and 11
rebounds.

The Bobcats' current top scorer is Courtney
Kaminski, who averages 11.4 points per game. In addition,
Sophomore Felicia
Barron averages 10.9 points, while junior Jacinda
Dunbar posts 9.5 points per game. Both Barron and Dunbar are
ranked in the top-25 of the NEC in points per game average.
NEC's Most Wanted
Felicia
Barron is ranked in the top-10 of the Northeast Conference in
several categories. The sophomore is ranked fifth in assists,
averaging 3.87 per game, and seventh with 2.07 steals per game. In
addition, the guard is tied in 10th place for most field goals made
(21) and is first in the league in assist-to-turnover ratio. Magic At
Monmouth The Bobcats won,
60-57, on the road at Monmouth in front of a crowd of over 1,000
people. Quinnipiac outshot the Hawks, shooting 39.2 percent from
the floor, while Monmouth shot 28.8 percent from the field. The
last time Quinnipiac held its opponent to under a 30 percent
field-goal percentage, was last season at Central Connecticut State
(.27.3%) on Jan. 14, 2010. The Bobcats' defensive game-plan forced
Monmouth to make 22 turnovers, while the Bobcats had only 12

third-straight victory. In addition, freshman Brittany

The Mount Quinnipiac won its
second NEC game of the 2010-11 season on Jan. 4 against Mount St.
Mary's, 77-65. Overall, the team shot 42.1 percent from the floor
and 77.8 percent from the foul line. Quinnipiac finished 28-of-36
free throws, while the Mountaineers shot 12-of-19 from the
line.
Double Trouble
Two Bobcats have collected a double-double this year, including Courtney
Kaminski and freshman Brittany
McQuain. Kaminski has compiled two double-doubles this season.
The senior posted 10 points and 10 rebounds against FDU and
recorded 14 points and 11 rebounds in the Bobcats second outing
against UNH. McQuain scored 10 points and pulled-down 10 rebounds
against Southern California on Nov. 28. Crashing

Kaminski leads the Bobcats with 5.5 rebounds per game, while
freshman Brittany
McQuain and Jacinda
Dunbar are close behind, both averaging 5.3 rebounds.
Taking On Twenty
Senior Courtney
Kaminski scored a game-high and season-high 23 points against
the Mount. Kaminski is one of two Bobcats to score above 20 points
this season. Junior Jacinda
Dunbar posted a career-high 26 points in the Quinnipiac 62-61
win against New Hampshire on Dec. 29.
Making A Comeback
Since posting a -25.0 scoring margin for the month of November,
Quinnipiac has since narrowed the gap to -7.1 points. After falling
to Holy Cross in a game held at the TD Bank Sports Center, the
Bobcats have gone undefeated at home (4-0), beating NEC opponents
Wagner and Mount St. Mary's.
Charity
Stripe Stats The Bobcats have won every game this season that they've
made more free throws than their opponents. Quinnipiac has finished
more shots from the foul line than its opponents in six games this
year, including the past three matches prior to the FDU
contest.
What's Ahead In The NEC
The Bobcats will host Bryant on Monday, Jan. 17 at 1:00 p.m. at the
TD Bank Sports Center in Hamden, Conn. Quinnipiac will then travel
to play Mount St. Mary's on Saturday, Jan. 22 at 3:00 p.m. at the
Knott Arena in Emmitsburg, Md., followed by Wagner on Monday, Jan.
24 at 7:00 p.m. at the Spiro Sports Center in Staten Island,
