Following
the Quinnipiac women's basketball game against Mount St. Mary's on
Jan. 4, 2011, the Bobcats welcomed a group of girl's players from
Guilford Youth Basketball to their lounge at the TD Bank Sports
Center for an autograph session. The youth group played an
abbreviated game at half time of the Bobcats 77-65 win against the
Mount. The event was part of Quinnipiac's Positive Play initiative,
designed to encourage community involvement by Quinnipiac's
student-athletes.
Quinnipiac women's basketball is back in action on Saturday, Jan. 15 when it hosts Central Connecticut State University in a Northeast Conference tilt set for a 1 p.m. start. Following the game, the men will also host CCSU in a game that will be televised live on NESN following NESN's broadcast of the Boston Bruins game against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
