The Quinnipiac University women's basketball team (0-5)
will play its first of three-straight home games against the
University of Vermont Catamounts (0-5) on Wednesday, Dec. 1 at the
TD Bank Sports Center at 3:00 p.m.

Vermont
Both Quinnipiac and Vermont enter Wednesday's game with a
0-5 record. In their last outing, the Catamounts lost, 66-51, to
Dartmouth on Nov. 24. Sophomore Lauren Buschmann led Vermont with a
career-high 18 points and 16 rebounds as she collected her first
career double-double. In addition, fellow sophomore Lauren Wheeler
scored 11 points and posted four assists and four steals in the
loss. Freshman guard Jasmine Cooper added eight points and two
rebounds off the bench. Overall, the Catamounts are shooting 35.2
percent from the field and 59 percent from the free throw line.
Vermont is led by junior Ashley Hoyt who averages 9.4 points and
6.4 rebounds per game, while Buschmann averages 8.8 points and 7.6
rebounds per game. Hoyt is shooting 30.4 percent from behind the
arc and is 8-9 from the free throw line. Vermont was selected to
finish sixth in the 2010-11 American East Preseason Coaches'
Poll.

Quinnipiac holds an all-time record of 2-0 with Vermont.
In their last meeting, the Bobcats won, 72-53, at the Patrick Gym
in Burlington on Nov. 22, 2008. Quinnipiac beat Vermont, 85-62, in
their first outing, which was played at Quinnipiac, on Jan. 11,
1982.
Vanderbilt
Thanksgiving Tourney
The Bobcats played in the Vanderbilt Thanksgiving
Tournament over the holiday weekend. In its first game of the
tournament, Quinnipiac lost to nationally-ranked Vanderbilt,
111-53. Senior captain Alyssa Jann (Westford, Mass.) scored 14
points and pulled down a rebound and an assist, while Felicia
Barron (Springfield, Mass), an All-Tournament selectee, scored
eight points in the loss.

Quinnipiac lost, 78-59, to Southern California, in its
second game of the Vanderbilt Thanksgiving Tournament on Nov. 28.
Tied, 35-35, at halftime, the Bobcats were unable to come back in
the second half. Overall, the team shot 35.2 percent from the floor
and 71.4 percent from the line. Felicia
Barron (Springfield, Mass) scored 11 points and added six
assists and four rebounds in the game. In addition, Brittany
McQuain (Independence, Mo.) posted her first career
double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

All-Tournament Selectee
Felicia
Barron (Springfield, Mass.) was named a member of the
All-Tournament team on Sunday. The guard currently leads the team,
averaging 9.8 points per game, while posting 2.6 rebounds per game
and a .370 field goal percentage. Barron is tied in sixth in the
Northeast Conference for assists (16), averaging 3.2 per game.

Freshman Brittany
McQuain (Independence, Mo.) currently leads the Bobcats with
6.0 rebounds per game. The forward is at the top of the NEC,
averaging 5.2 defensive rebounds. McQuain posted her first career
double-double against USC, as she scored 10 points and pulled down
10 rebounds.
Good From The Line
Junior transfer Kari
Goodchild (Van Horne, Iowa) posts a .692 free throw percentage
this season, as she is 9-13 from the line. Goodchild has been a
consistent guard for the Bobcats, averaging 6.0 points and 3.4
rebounds per game.
At St.
Bonaventure
In its most recent outing, Quinnipiac fell to St.
Bonaventure, 66-47, in a contest held at the Reilly Center on Nov.
21. The Bobcats were led by Felicia
Barron (Springfield, Mass.) as she scored 14 points and made
four assists. Alyssa Jann (Westford, Mass.) pulled down a team-high
six rebounds out of the team's 33.
Holy Cross At
Home
The Bobcats lost, 72-60, in its home-opener against Holy Cross on
Wednesday, Nov. 17. at the TD Bank Sports Center. The team recorded
a 66.7 free throw percentage and was .329 from the floor in the
defeat. In the first twenty minutes of play, the score was tied
four times, while the lead changed three times. Despite the loss,
the Bobcats were able to hold the Crusaders to only a two-point
lead in the first half.
Kaminski
Scores 1,000th Point
Senior center Courtney
Kaminski (Dudley, Mass.) became the 17th Quinnipiac women's
basketball player to score 1,000 points, as she scored 10 points in
Wednesday's game against Holy Cross. The senior also made five
rebounds in the contest, after missing the Bobcats' first game of
the season.
Leading Ladies At Home
Red-shirt sophomore Felicia
Barron (Springfield, Mass.) led the Bobcats with 14 points
against Holy Cross. The guard also recorded a team-high four
assists and two steals in the game. Junior guard Kari
Goodchild (Van Horne, Iowa) pulled down a team-high seven
assists and scored six points. Jacinda
Dunbar (Edison, N.J) led Quinnipiac with two blocks versus Holy
Cross, also recording 11 points and six rebounds in the game. Jacki
Mann (Rutherford, N.J.) was the only player to make every field
goal attempt (6) in Wednesday's game. The junior forward scored 12
points, tallied one assist and pulled down four rebounds
overall.
Season-Opener
The Bobcats lost, 65-48, in their season-opener on Friday, Nov. 12
at Fairfield University. Overall Quinnipiac was .455 from the free
throw line and had a .340 field goal percentage in the contest. The
team was led by freshman forward Brittany
McQuain (Independence, Mo.) and junior transfer Kari
Goodchild (Van Horne, Iowa). Both Quinnipiac newcomers scored
nine points, while McQuain also recorded seven rebounds.

For The Bobcats
After a three game stint on the road, Quinnipiac returns
to action when it hosts Wagner on Saturday, Dec. 4 at the TD Bank
Sports Center in Hamden, Conn. at Noon. The Bobcats play Army at
home on Saturday, Dec. 11 at Noon.
