Wednesday's Game
The Quinnipiac University women's basketball team plays
host to St. Bonaventure Wednesday night at the TD Bank Sports
Center. The Bobcats and Bonnies will tip off on Lender Court at 7
p.m., in the second home game of the season. Quinnipiac is coming
off its first win of the season in its home opener Sunday afternoon
against the University of New Hampshire, 68-54, to improve to 1-2
on the season. The game marks the first meeting between the two
programs.
Scouting the Bonnies
St. Bonaventure will take its perfect 6-0 record into
Wednesday night's game with Quinnipiac. The Bonnies recently
defeated Northeast Conference opponent Bryant by 23 Sunday
afternoon, 66-43, at home. This season, St. Bonaventure is holding
opponents to an average of 42.7 points per game, while scoring 64.2
points per game as a team. Dana Mitchell leads the team in scoring
with 15.8 per game, while also pulling down a team-high 4.7 boards
per game. Jessica Jenkins is second on the team in scoring with
12.8 points each contest and has 15 three-point field goals on the
season, 11 more than any other member of the team.

Welcome Home
After falling to Hartford and Providence on the road to
start the season, the Bobcats won their first game of the season in
their home opener Sunday afternoon against New Hampshire. The win
gives Quinnipiac its fourth straight victory in their first home
game of the season dating back to the 2006-07 season.
Live Free and Drive... The Lane
A native of New Hampshire, redshirt senior Kathleen Neyens
(Jaffrey, N.H.) scored a season-high 11 points against the
Wildcats. She connected on a season-high two three pointers and
pulled down a season-high nine boards in the game against her home
state's school. Her three assists in the game were also her best
total of the young season.
Grand Theft
Redshirt Freshman Felicia Barron (Springfield, Mass.)
recorded a season, team and conference high of five steals in the
win against UNH. Her six assists and 14 points were also season and
team highs for the Bobcats.
Along the Same Lines
Sophomore Jacinda Dunbar (Edison, N.J.) matched her season
high with 12 points in the team's first win of the season. She also
recorded four steals in the game, doubling her previous career high
set last January against Robert Morris.
Let's Keep It Going
Career and season highs were not limited to just the three
aforementioned players. Junior Lailah Pratt (Palmyra, R.I.) notched
a career-high six points and pulled down a season-high seven
boards; one off her career mark. Her six offensive rebounds were a
season and team high as the Bobcats pulled down 22 off the
offensive glass against New Hampshire.
Boards Abound
Quinnipiac has outrebounded its opponents in all three
games this season. Grabbing an average of 45.7 per game, the
Bobcats have a +6.0 rebounding average. On Sunday, they pulled down
a season-high 51 boards, including 22 at the offensive end of the
floor which led to numerous second-chance points.
Free Points
Quinnipiac capitalized at the free-throw line against UNH.
Finishing the game 15-of-18 from the charity stripe, Quinnipiac put
the game away in the second half. Barron went 6-for-6 from the line
in the game to seal the win.
Milestone Tracker
With the win, Head Coach Tricia Fabbri pulled one victory
closer to reaching the 200-win mark for her career. Sitting on 196
victories now, Fabbri needs just four more to reach the coaching
milestone.
Five For Scoring
Dunbar shot 5-of-9 from the floor in just 19 minutes of
action against New Hampshire Sunday afternoon. The five field goals
were a team high for Quinnipiac in 2009-10.
RPI Outlook
The latest Ratings Percentage Index (RPI) rankings have
the Bobcats 49th in the nation. The win over the Wildcats allowed
Quinnipiac to jump 126 spots from last week. That 126-spot increase
was the ninth most in Division I this week.
