As a Junior in 2007-08:

Named the Northeast Conference Defensive Player of the Year...Started in all 31 games for Quinnipiac...Averaged 8.0 points, 3.4 assists, 3.6 rebounds and 2.1 steals per game...Set the fifth highest mark for assists in a season since Quinnipiac joined Division I with 106 assists...Led the team in steals with 64, the third highest figure in program history...Set a Division I program record with a .901 free-throw percentage...Was 73 of 81 from the free-throw line...Recorded a season-high 17 points while adding four steals, four assists and three rebounds against Seton Hall at the San Diego Surf’N Slam Tournament on 12/30...Named to the Surf’N Slam All-Tournament Team...Scored 13 points and had four steals in the season opener against Brown on 11/11...Collected a season-high seven defensive rebounds and scored 11 points against Holy Cross on 12/1...Went 10-for-10 from the free-throw line against Holy Cross on 12/1...Finished one assist shy of a double-double against Mount St. Mary’s on 1/14, with nine assists and 10 points against the Hawks...Had three consecutive games of double-digit scoring from 1/7 through 1/14...Had six assists at Sacred Heart on 1/26...Scored 13 points, as well as four steals and five rebounds at Fairleigh Dickinson on 2/2...Added another 13 points on three of five shooting from three-point range while dishing out six assists in the next game against St. Francis (Pa.) on 2/4...Set a season-high in rebounds with eight against Wagner on 2/9...Followed that performance by matching her season high with seven defensive rebounds in the next game against Central Connecticut. As a Sophomore in 2006-07:

Started in all 28 games for Quinnipiac...Averaged 8.5 points, 3.2 rebounds, 2.4 assists and a team-high 2.6 steals per game...Had nine points and four steals against Florida A&M on 11/18...Totaled 10 points and four assists at Harvard on 11/22...Had 15 points and seven assists against Saint Francis (Pa.) on 12/07...Scored 16 points while also grabbing six rebounds against Fairleigh Dickinson on 12/09...Had 10 points, six rebounds and three steals against La Salle on 12/16...Scored 11 points at Saint Francis (Pa.) on 1/06...Totaled 15 points, five rebounds, four assists and three steals against Central Connecticut on 1/24...Had seven points and seven assists, as well as four steals, against Robert Morris on 2/12...Scored 16 points at Long Island on 2/17...Had 15 points against Sacred Heart and 14 points and five assists against Monmouth in the NEC Tournament on 3/03.

 

As a Freshman in 2005Â06:

Started 26 of 27 games played...Averaged 8.7 points (27th in NEC) and 1.9 steals (ninth in NEC) per game...Shot 80.6 percent from the freethrow line and 37.2 percent from beyond the three-point arc, both fourth best in the conference... Made 1.3 three-point field goals per game...Was twice named NEC Rookie of the Week (1/3 and 2/20)...Ranks second on Quinnipiac’s Division I career leaders list in

three-point field-goal percentage (.372) and free-throw percentage (.806)...Scored a career-high 24 points on 7-of-12 shooting from the floor, including 4-of-8 three-point field goals, on 2/18 versus Wagner...Snagged five steals three times...Made 5-of-6 shots for 13 points on 12/28 at Central Florida.

 

Before Quinnipiac:

Was named Gatorade Player of the Year in Connecticut and a McDonald’s All-America nominee during her senior year...Was also named First-Team All-State, All-Area, and All-Conference...Led Guilford High to Class L championships in basketball during her freshman and sophomore seasons and in soccer during her junior year...Also named All-State, All-Conference and All-Area in soccer.

Daughter of Linda and Jim Rooney...The younger sister of former Quinnipiac women’s basketball player Megan Rooney...Older brother Jim played football at Wesleyan...Has two younger sisters, Kelly Ann and Kathleen... Born in New Haven, Conn.
