Quinnipiac Softball Hosts Youth Clinic

GREENWICH, Conn. - Members of the Quinnipiac University softball team hosted a clinic for the Lady Redbirds competitive girl's youth fast pitch softball organization at the Boys and Girls Club of Greenwich, Conn. on Sunday, Feb. 13. Head Coach Germaine Fairchild, Assistant Coach Ben Lipson and student-athletes Joelle Jacobsen (Flemington, N.J.), Emily O'Keefe (Southington, Conn.), Kim Brzezinski (Tinley Park Ill.) and Jordan Paolucci (Lake Mary, Fla.), facilitated the clinic.

"The Lady Redbird organization provides a great opportunity for serious, young softball players to learn about the game of softball and improve their skills," said Quinnipiac Head Coach Germaine Fairchild. "The QU Softball Program is honored to have been invited to share our knowledge with this fine organization."

The coaches and players covered fundamental base running, basic infield, outfield, and catching skills, and batting tee drills at the clinic.

The Bobcats will play at the Longwood Classic at Longwood University on Feb. 26 and Feb. 27. The Bobcats will face Bucknell, Longwood, and Stony Brook at the tournament.
