Despite the out, Salgado was brought around to score in the following play on a single by Alex Alba (Sylmar, Calif.) to take a 1-0 lead.
Mount St. Mary's responded with three runs in the bottom of the first, with the offensive efforts led by sophomore Taylor Beebe's two-run double to right. Nikki Reeder scored the third run of the inning for the Mount, on an Erin Leddy single to right.

Both runners picked up a stolen base in the inning, placing Murray on third and Alba on second with two outs on the board and Wall at the plate. Wall picked up her second RBI of the day as she singled to shortstop to score Murray from third. Brzezinski knocked in the second run, scoring Alba in the following play on a single to third to give the Bobcats a 3-0 lead.
Le Bel recorded her second homerun of the season in the top of the sixth to extend the team's lead to 5-0 over the Mount. The senior stepped to the plate with fellow senior Heather Maffeo (Milton, Mass.) at first and drove the ball over the left-field fence for the two-run tally.
It took just one inning for Mount St. Mary's to even the score in the bottom of the sixth. Beebe hit her second two-run double of the day to bolster the effort, while Reeder, Leddy and Amanda Buckel also driving in runs to tie the game at five.
