In their debut season in the MAAC in 2013, the Bobcats placed seventh at the MAAC Championships with sophomore Brendan Copley (Colchester, Vt.) leading the way with a 10th place finish. Head coach Carolyn Martin will look to make the most out of her group of eight returning letterwinners from a year ago, including the return of the Bobcats' week-to-week leaders at the top in Copley and senior Spencer Mannion (Brookfield, Conn.).

Headlining that returning group will be Copley who stepped right into the role of Quinnipiac's top runner in just his second season as a Bobcat. Copley earned All-MAAC honors with his 10th place finish in the MAAC Championship while he also earned MAAC Runner of the Week honors twice, tied for the most of any runner in the conference all season. His remarkable sophomore campaign had him finish as the fastest runner for the Bobcats in all eight meets in 2013 with three Top 5 finishes, four Top 10s and six Top 20 results.

The second half of the Bobcats' dynamic duo in Mannion will be returning for his senior season in 2014. Quinnipiac's lone senior in 2014 had a solid 2013 campaign that saw him finish as the second-fastest Bobcat in seven of the eight meets in which he appeared. Mannion's individual highlights in 2013 included one Top 5 finish, two Top 10s and five Top 20 finishes throughout the season including a career-best 2nd place at the Stony Brook Invitational.

Quinnipiac will also rely on the return of junior Matt Mensher (Tolland, Conn.) as well as sophomore Dylan Fearon (Tenafly, N.J.) who teamed up with Copley and Mannion to round out the top four finishers for the Bobcats in the 2013 MAAC Championship. Senior Thomas Dextradeur (Branford, Conn.) will provide some senior leadership while sophomores Alex Doherty (Warwick, R.I.) and Kyle Liang (Norwich, Conn.) provide great depth that the team will rely on throughout the 2014 season.

Coach Martin will also have a strong class of three freshmen that will join the 2014 roster, giving the Bobcats plenty of reason for hope in their second full season as a member of the MAAC.

The Bobcats will see their first glimpse of action on Saturday, Aug. 30 as they return for the yearly trip to the Stony Brook Invitational with the meet set to begin at 10:00 am.
