Men's Cross Country Runs At Paul Short Invitational
BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Quinnipiac University men's cross country team
ran at the Paul Short Invitational held at Lehigh University in
Bethlehem, Pa. on Friday, Oct. 1. The 37
th annual
Invitational had over 5,000 runners from 230 colleges and high
schools scheduled to compete in races throughout the day. The
Bobcats finished in 33
rd place out of 40 teams in the
Men's College Brown 8K Race. Sophomore Mike
Levene (Redding, Conn.) finished in 37
th place
overall and was Quinnipiac's top finisher with a time of 26:15.
Brian
Cotter (Huntington, N.Y) crossed the finish line next for
Quinnipiac in 27:10. With a time of 27:37, John
Healy (Middletown, N.J.) was the Bobcats' third finisher. Jacob
Cetera (Chicago, Ill.) and John
Beckshaw (Medford, Mass.) were Quinnipiac's next two runners to
finish in 27:48 and 28:15, respectively.
"We've been working really hard throughout the season, but we're
not going to see the benefits until we start to taper down into the
season," said Head Coach Carolyn
Martin. "We're hoping our hard work will carry through to the
Northeast Conference Championships and Regionals."
The Bobcats are scheduled to run at the New England Championships
at Franklin Park in Boston, Mass. at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 9.
