Men's And Women's Track Run At First Day Of Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA – Freshman Dan Roark (Dracut, Mass.) highlighted the first day of competition at the Penn Relays at Franklin Field for the Quinnipiac University men's track team. Roark finished the 5000-meter Olympic Development race 30th overall with a personal-best time of 14.51.77. That time placed Roark amongst the top three runners in the event from the Northeast Conference.

The women's track team also had individual runners compete on the first night of competition. Senior Abbey Gosling (Meredith, N.H.) finished the 3000-meter steeplechase 13th overall with a time of 11.27.39. Freshman Morgan Roche (Clifton Park, N.Y.) posted the best time amongst NEC runners in the 3000 meters, crossing the line in 10:19.60.

The Bobcats return to action in the second day of competition at Franklin Field with events starting at 9 a.m.
