Men’s Tennis Falls Short to Bryant at Home, 5-2

HAMDEN, Conn. – Sophomore Luke Roser (Bernardsville, N.J.) picked up his 10th win of the season on Saturday afternoon; however, the Quinnipiac University men's tennis team lost to the Bryant University Bulldogs 5-2 on their home court in Hamden.

Roser earned his victory over Bulldog Zachary Morris in two sets, winning the first, 6-4, and the second, 6-2. This marks the 25th career singles victory for the sophomore.

Fellow classmate Alain Grullon (Santo Domingo, D.R.) also picked up a singles victory on Saturday, defeating Guillaume Sabourin in three sets. After dropping the first set, 6-4, Grullon won the next two in dramatic fashion. The second set was won by the sophomore in extra sets, 7-6 (7-2), and the tie-break went 22 points before Grullon outlasted Sabourin, 12-10. This marks the eighth singles win on Grullon's young career.

The loss drops Quinnipiac's record to 5-7 on the season. The victory is the 10th on the campaign for Bryant, improving their record to 10-9.
