HAMDEN, Conn. – The final day of the 2013 Quinnipiac Men's Tennis Invitational has been cancelled due to inclement weather. The semifinals and finals of all four flights were expected to take place today, but rain has prevented four champions from being crowned. The matches will not be made up.
Juniors Eric Ambrosio (Lloyd Harbor, N.Y.) and Sebastian Barbero (Buenos Aires, Argentina), sophomore Luke Roser (Bernardsville, N.J.) and freshman Kei Ezaka (Ojai, Calif.) were all still alive entering the final day of competition after collecting two wins apiece on Saturday, Oct. 5. Ezaka remains undefeated at singles through his first month of play at the collegiate level. Ambrosio is also approaching win No. 70 for his career.
The Bobcats are back in action on Tuesday, Oct. 8 with their inaugural match in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC). Quinnipiac travels to Siena College for a 3 p.m. tilt at the Siena Tennis Courts in Loudonville, N.Y.
