Men's And Women's Tennis Head Coach Mike Quitko To Be Honored At 2012 New Haven Open
Men’s and Women’s Tennis Head Coach Mike Quitko will be honored as a special guest and presented with an award at the New Haven Open on Thursday, August 23, 2012 at the Connecticut Tennis Center on the campus of Yale University. Fellow Quinnipiac alumni, parents, faculty and staff will come together for Quinnipiac Night and celebrate Coach Q’s career accomplishments.

Eric Ambrosio Earns Title At Cornell ITA Summer Circuit
Fresh off a 26 win season in his inaugural campaign, Eric Ambrosio (Lloyd Harbor, N.Y.) continued to showcase his talent this past weekend at the Cornell ITA Summer Circuit, an Intercollegiate Tennis Association sanctioned event hosted by Cornell University. Ambrosio, along with good friend and teammate Zach Morris, won the Doubles Tournament at the Reis Tennis Center, after outlasting a field of 28 teams over the four-day event.

#2 Men's Tennis Falls To #3 Monmouth In Northeast Conference Semifinals, 4-2
James Kwei (Dedham, Mass.) concluded an illustrious senior season with career wins No. 126 and No. 127 on Saturday afternoon, but the Quinnipiac University men’s tennis team was eliminated by #3 Monmouth University in the Northeast Conference Semifinals at the Mercer County Tennis Center in West Windsor, N.J. With the loss, the Bobcats finished the 2011-12 campaign with an overall record of 8-11. The Hawks advance to the finals of the championships, which will take place tomorrow morning.

Sophomore Corey Morgenstern (Old Bethpage, N.Y.) clinched an opening round victory for the #2 Quinnipiac University men’s tennis team on Friday afternoon, as the Bobcats defeated Robert Morris, 4-2, in the Quarterfinals of the Northeast Conference Championships. With the win, Quinnipiac advances to the semifinals to take on #3 Monmouth University tomorrow morning at 11:30 a.m.

The Quinnipiac University men’s tennis team has claimed the #2 seed in the upcoming Northeast Conference Championships this weekend, a single-elimination tournament that is set to begin on Friday, April 20 at the Mercer County Tennis Center in West Windsor, N.J. In search for their fifth NEC title, the Bobcats will square off against #7 Robert Morris in the Quarterfinals on Friday morning at 11:30 a.m.

Bobcats Win Fourth Straight; Men's Tennis Edges Sacred Heart On Senior Day, 4-3
Senior James Kwei (Dedham, Mass.) picked up career wins No. 121 and 122 on Tuesday afternoon, as the Quinnipiac University men’s tennis team dealt Sacred Heart at 4-3 loss on Senior Day at the QU Outdoor Tennis Courts. Kwei was honored for his historic career with the program prior to the team’s seventh win of the season.

The Quinnipiac University men’s tennis team won its third straight match on Saturday afternoon, as the Bobcats cruised past intrastate foe Hartford, 6-1, at the QU Outdoor Tennis Courts on Mount Carmel Avenue. With the win, QU improves to 6-9 overall, while the visiting Hawks fall to 3-10 on the season.

Senior James Kwei (Dedham, Mass.) won both matches he took part in on Thursday afternoon to lead the Quinnipiac University men’s tennis team over Monmouth University, 5-2, at the QU Outdoor Tennis Courts. With the win, the Bobcats climbed back to the .500 mark in Northeast Conference competition, improving to 2-2 on the season.

Men's Tennis Cruises Past Villanova, 6-1
The Quinnipiac University men’s team put together a very strong outing on Monday afternoon, as the Bobcats went on the road and defeated Villanova University, 6-1, at the Villanova Tennis Complex. QU swept the doubles segment for the first point and then followed by taking five of the six singles match-ups. Freshman Eric Ambrosio (Lloyd Harbor, N.Y.) also extended his winning-streak to five straight.

Freshman Eric Ambrosio (Lloyd Harbor, N.Y.) picked up his 17th and 18th wins of the season on Friday afternoon, but the Quinnipiac University men’s tennis team dropped a Northeast Conference match to Fairleigh Dickinson, 6-1, at the FDU Tennis Center. Ambrosio collected the lone Bobcats’ point in No. 4 singles while pairing with James Kwei (Dedham, Mass.) for a triumph in No. 2 doubles.

Freshman Eric Ambrosio (Lloyd Harbor, N.Y.) of the Quinnipiac University men’s tennis team has been named the Northeast Conference Rookie of the Week, announced on Tuesday, March 26, 2012 by the league office. Ambrosio performed very well in two matches last week, helping the Bobcats to a non-conference win against Boston University.

With the loss, the Bobcats fall to 3-7 overall and 1-1 in the Northeast Conference. The Bulldogs improve to 9-4, 2-0 in the league.

Junior Andrew Weeden’s (Martinsville, N.J.) win in No. 1 singles proved to be the difference on Thursday night, as the Quinnipiac University men’s tennis team edged Bucknell University, 4-3, at Sanlando Park in Orlando, Fla. With the match all-square at three apiece, Weeden outlasted Gregg Cohenca for the triumph in the last match of the Bobcats’ 2012 Spring Break Trip.

The Quinnipiac University men’s tennis team was picked as the preseason favorite to win the Northeast Conference, as selected by the NEC’s coaches and announced today by the league office. The Bobcats earned four first-place votes, narrowly edging Fairleigh Dickinson in the census. Quinnipiac’s quest for a 2011 NCAA Tournament bid was stopped just short in the NEC Championship match last season.

The Quinnipiac University men’s tennis team squared off against Binghamton University and Bryant on Saturday night, as the Bobcats took on the Bearcats and Bulldogs at a neutral site in non-conference showdowns. Playing at Brown University in Providence, Binghamton defeated QU, 7-0, in the 5:30 p.m. match, which was followed by a doubles-only encounter with the NEC foe.

The Quinnipiac University men's tennis team was defeated in its first match of the New Year on Sunday afternoon, as the Bulldogs of Yale University swept the Bobcats, 7-0, at the Cullman-Heyman Tennis Center. With the loss, QU falls to 0-2 overall on the young season.
