Weeden defeated Erik Blumenkranz, 6-2, 4-6, 1-0 (10-6), at No. 2 singles to account for the Bobcats only point of the day. Weeden has now won four of his last five singles matches.
James Kwei (Dedham, Mass.) played a pair of close matches, but fell at both No. 2 doubles and No. 3 singles. Kwei paired with Alex Lazerowich (Stratham, N.H.) in pushing Joel Samaha and John Huang to an 8-6 decision in doubles, before falling to Samaha, 7-6 (7-4), 6-2, in singles.
"I'm very happy with the way that we played and competed today," said Quinnipiac Head Coach Mike Quitko.
The Bobcats return to action Tuesday, when they begin a spring break road trip in Orlando, Fla., against Western Illinois. First serve is scheduled for 3 p.m.
