HAMDEN,
Conn. - Quinnipiac University men's tennis sophomore Andrew Weeden
(Martinsville, N.J.) defeated Hofstra's Antonio Pena, 6-1, 4-6,
6-1, to advance to the ITA Northeast Regional Round of 64 Friday at
Yale's Cullman-Heyman Tennis Center. With the win, Weeden will face
Harvard's Christo Schultz, the No. 14 ranked player in the
draw.

In other Quinnipiac singles action, Brian Mikkelson (Mequon, Wis.) was defeated by Brown's Brandon Burke, 6-3, 7-5, in the first round.
Mikkelson also represented the Bobcats along with James Kwei (Dedham, Mass.) in doubles, falling to Penn's Hicham Laalej and Eugen Brazdil, 8-1. Weeden also took part in doubles along with Brett Francis (Glastonbury, Conn.), falling to Columbia's Cyril and Tizan Bucher, 8-5.
ITA Northeast Regional action continues from the Cullman-Heyman Tennis Center Saturday.
