NCAA Lane: Day 3

The big day: Q vs. #7 Stanford. We woke up ready to give it our all and hopefully get more games than Nick's prediction: 8 games. At breakfast, we all ate at Hobee's - still can't get a simple breakfast but oh well. I could sense the level of focus of my teammates as we traveled to the tennis center. There was more fire in all of our eyes; ready to make some noise in the national spotlight.

After catching up on the lack of sleep from Thursday's travels, the team managed to get everyone on the bus without somebody forgetting to set their alarm. At breakfast, it seemed difficult to find a meal on the menu that was traditional (eggs, pancakes, bacon). We all looked at the menu with a confused look trying to find something that seemed appetizing...oh well, I guess Californians are too good to go with the simple breakfast.

Sophomore men's tennis player Garrett Lane will provide daily updates of the Bobcats' NCAA Tournament trip to Stanford, California. -- Despite an early flight and departure from school Thursday, most of us opted to not sleep before we all left for JFK airport. Upon boarding the shuttle bus at 3 a.m., the bus immediately fell silent as we all tried to get as much sleep as possible. By 6, we were checked in and anxiously waiting to board our plane.
