Men's Tennis Defeats Boston University, 5-2

BOSTON – John Hughes (Springfield, Mass.), Charlie Feldman (Easton, Conn.) and Garrett Lane (Reading, Mass.) all earned double wins as the Quinnipiac University men's tennis team defeated Boston University, 5-2, Sunday afternoon at the Track and Tennis Center. With the win, the Bobcats improve to 2-1 on the season, while the Terriers fall to 1-6.

Brian Mikkelson (Mequon, Wis.) and Tom Curran (Fairfield, Conn.) also won once each for the Bobcats.

Hughes paired with Feldman to take a No. 2 doubles victory against Bill Kring and Tim Sichler, 8-2, before defeating Jeff Chudacoff, 6-3, 6-2, at No. 1 singles. Feldman also won at No. 5 singles, defeating Regis Chang, 6-1, 6-4.

Lane combined with Curran to defeat Chang and James Bernstein, 8-6, at No. 3 doubles. Lane also beat Kring, 6-0, 7-5, at No. 3 singles. Mikkelson rounded out the Bobcats' singles victories with a 6-1, 6-2, win against Charles Weinstein.

The Bobcats return to action Sunday, Feb. 22, when they play host to future NEC foe Bryant. Matches are scheduled to begin at 3 p.m.
