Men's Soccer Adds Tanor Jobe and William Pustari to 2014 Roster

HAMDEN, Conn. – Quinnipiac University men's soccer head coach Eric Da Costa has announced the addition of two student-athletes – Tanor Jobe from Uxbridge, Mass. and William Pustari of North Haven, Conn. – to the program for the 2014 season on Friday, June 13, 2014.

Jobe, a seasoned transfer from Central Connecticut State University, and Pustari, a local product who put together a fine career at Xavier High School, join Maxamilian Rothenbuecher, John-John Diaz and James Greco who have also signed to play at Quinnipiac this year. The Bobcats go for a third straight regular-season title and look to return to the NCAA Tournament for the second consecutive year.

Team/Individual Accolades:

  • Jobe comes to Quinnipiac from former Northeast Conference foe Central Connecticut State University
  • He played two seasons for the Blue Devils, helping them to back-to-back regular season titles (2012 and 2013)
  • Jobe registered 18 appearances in two seasons in New Britain, seeing action in 15 contests last season
  • Prior to CCSU, Jobe played at NIPMUC Regional High School in Massachusetts where he was selected to the Central Massachusetts All-Star team
  • He has played in the USSF Academy system, the highest level of club soccer, for the FC Greater Boston Academy team while also earning a spot on the MLS's New England Revolution academy team
  • Jobe represented the Massachusetts Olympic Development team from 2007 to 2010 and was selected to play in Portugal in 2008
  • He led Central Massachusetts in scoring and led his team to the Central Massachusetts Division 2 Championship in 2009 and 2010

"Tanor is a speedy and technically strong player. He will add depth to our squad and give us some attacking options. With his experience at the Division I level, I expect Tanor to come in and compete immediately for a role within our team."

  • Standing 6-foot-1, Pustari attended and played for Xavier High School, a college preparatory Catholic school in Middletown, Conn., where he started on the backline for four years
  • He is a member of the U.S. Soccer Developmental Academy (USSDA), an American soccer league that is considered to be the top tier of youth soccer in the United States
  • Played for USSDA South Central (U-14 to U-16) and currently plays for USSDA Beachside, where he has seen action in 16 of the team's 17 games this year
  • He also played ODP from 2007 to 2009
  • Earned MVP honors in consecutive years at the Juventus Camp in Italy (2007-2008)
