Winning Streak Bumps Men’s Soccer to Third in NSCAA Regional Poll

KANSAS CITY, Kan. – The Quinnipiac University men's soccer team extended its winning streak to three games this past week and moved up to third in the latest NSCAA/Continental Tire NCAA Division I North Atlantic Regional Poll, announced by the association on Tuesday, October 22, 2013. The NSCAA/Continental Tire College Rankings are an indicator of week-to-week status of qualified programs.

The Bobcats posted two wins last week and jumped seven spots from their previous ranking. Saint Francis University retained the top slot after posting a 1-1 week to improve to 8-3-3 on the season. St. Francis Brooklyn was picked second, while Quinnipiac, Central Connecticut and Monmouth rounded out the first five. Rider, Fairleigh Dickinson, Fairfield, Canisius and Robert Morris finished the bottom half of the poll.

The Bobcats are back in action on Wednesday, Oct. 23 when they travel to Manhattan College for a clash with the Jaspers. Kickoff is set for 7 pm at Gaelic Park in Riverdale, N.Y.
