University men's soccer team will host a non-conference match-up
against Yale University on Tuesday, Sept. 21 at 4 p.m. at
Quinnipiac Soccer Field.

Yale faces
Quinnipiac carrying a 1-5 record after capturing a 2-1
double-overtime victory against Sacred Heart on Sept. 18. It was
the second time this season Yale has competed in a double-overtime
contest, with the first ending in a heartbreaking loss, 2-1, on
Sept. 7 against Fairfield. The Bulldogs are led by senior
midfielder Andy Shorten (two goals), and junior midfielder Andy
Hackbarth (one goal). Freshman forward Peter Jacobson has also
scored one goal on the season.
All-Time Against The Bulldogs
Tuesday's
non-conference game will be the eighth time the two squads have
faced each other. Quinnipiac is 0-6-1 all-time against Yale. The
last meeting between the two squads was on Sept. 5, 2009 in which
the two teams tied 1-1.
Last Time Out
Quinnipiac was defeated, 1-0, on
Saturday, Sept. 18 in Providence, R.I., against the Friars of
Providence College. The Friars scored in the 63rdminute to capture the
victory.
Home Sweet Home
The Bobcats return
home after enduring a tough three-game road stretch. Tuesday will
mark only the second home game of the year and the first home game
since Sept. 4.
Lavallee Earns First Start
Sophomore
goalkeeper Josh Lavallee (Upland, Calif.) started his first career
game for Quinnipiac on Sept. 18 against Providence College. He
allowed one goal while making five saves on the afternoon.
Lavallee, a transfer student from Dayton, picked up his first
minutes as a substitute on Sept. 11 against Loyola (Md.)
University.
Suprise Welcomed Back
Sophomore forward
Philip Suprise (Milwaukee, Wis.) made his first start of the season
on Saturday, Sept. 18 against Providence College. Suprise took
eight of the team's thirteen shots.
Back On The Road
After facing Yale
University, Quinnipiac heads back on the road to play Stony Brook
on Sunday, Sept. 26 at 6 p.m. at Kenneth P. LaVallee Stadium in
Stony Brook, N.Y.
