Jason Grubb begins his third season as an assistant coach for the Quinnipiac men’s soccer team, concentrating primarily on coaching the team’s goalkeepers.
Prior to coming to Quinnipiac, Grubb served as a volunteer goalkeeper coach for Newport County FC in Newport, England in 2010. Grubb has also served as a volunteer assistant goalkeeper’s coach for Trinity College (2010) and Salisbury City FC (2009).
Since 2009, Grubb has worked as a the full time Director of Coaching and Director of Goalkeeping at SoccerPlus Academy, based in Hartford, Conn. As director, Grubb provides on-field and online mentoring for coaches, helping them to develop and assess prospective players and coaches. Grubb is also a member of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America in which, since 2008, he has been a part of the goalkeepers coaching staff.
From 2004-2008, Grubb served as the Assistant Regional Manager, Director of Goalkeeping, Full-Time Coach, and House Manager for UK Elite Soccer. Grubb directed summer camps and promoted specialist goalkeeping academy programs.
Grubb has experienced two separate stints playing semi-professional soccer in England, as he was most recently a member of the Calne Town Semi-Professional Soccer Club in Wiltshire, England from 2008-2009. Grubb was also a member of Melksham Town Socccer Club in Melksham, England from 2003-2004. Grubb was a member of U18 Wiltshire and South-West England squad in 2002- 2003.
