Junior
forward Dwayne Mars (St. Michael, Barbados) scored the Bobcats'
lone goal against Stony Brook on Wednesday. Mars' speed allowed him
to slip inside the 18-yard box and past a Stony Brook defender.
Jumping over another defender, Mars headed the ball into the top of
the net for his second goal of the season.
Gold Star
for Helping
Assisting
on the goal with a perfectly-placed pass was freshman forward
Philip Suprise (Milwaukee, Wis.). Suprise beat two defenders down
the right side of the field and put the centering pass into the box
just before he and the ball crossed the end line. It was the first
assist of Suprise's career.
Hall the
Wall
Senior
goalkeeper Freddy Hall (St. George, Bermuda) continues to dominate
in net for Quinnipiac. Hall turned aside a season-high 11 shots in
the game, while allowing just his fourth goal of the season. In
2009, Hall has a 0.58 goals-against average and a .917 save
percentage.

More Firsts

against Stony Brook marked the first time this year that a member
of the Bobcats scored their second goal. Mars is the only player
with more than one goal this season as five different Quinnipiac
players have scored their first-career goals in 2009.
