Before Quinnipiac:
Played at E.O. Smith High School...A two-time team MVP and captain...Also a two-time all-state selection and named to the All-New England Team his senior season...Played nine seasons of club with the Oakwood Soccer team, serving as team captain for six of those....During his time with Oakwood, Stensland helped lead his team to the 2006 and 2008 Connecticut State Cup Championship...Also spent five years as a member of the Connecticut Olympic Development Program.
