NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Quinnipiac University men’s lacrosse team is one of four teams to participate in the Christian Prince Memorial Tournament on Sunday, October 16th at Reese Stadium on the campus of Yale University. The field consists of all Connecticut-based institutions including Sacred Heart, Fairfield and the hosting Bulldogs.
Prince, the namesake for Yale's defensive player of the year award and a scholarship fund at the university, earned a varsity letter as a Bulldog freshman in 1990 but died in the winter of 1991. He was a high school All-American at the Lawrenceville (N.J.) School, where he also lettered in football and hockey. Prince was also very involved in community outreach programs.
The Bobcats open the jamboree with the first contest against Yale at 9 a.m. Quinnipiac will then take on Sacred Heart, two hours later at 11 a.m.
