Alex Marotto Named Turfer NEILA Player of the Week
On the game-winner, Marotto picked up the rebound of a Basil Kostaras (Southlake, Texas) shot on the doorstep before slipping it past Stags goalie Joe Marra 44 seconds into the extra session. Marotto finished with 15 goals of his 19 career goals in his senior season. He showed a flair for the dramatic in the last two regular-season finales, scoring the game-winner in both. In addition to this year's capper, Marotto scored the game-winning goal with 17 seconds left of last year's regular-season finale at Bellarmine.
At 8-6 (4-3 ECAC), the Bobcats ended the season in third place in ECAC Lacrosse, behind NCAA Tournament qualifiers Denver and Loyola.
