Each week during the 2010 season, Quinnipiac senior Todd Kaiser will share his thoughts on the Bobcats' men's lacrosse program.
I could go on and on about the loss to Ohio State but the team is making it a point of emphasis this week to not dwell on this loss. The game is already behind us and should not be a factor this week at practice. Don't get me wrong, we will focus on the areas that need improvement but we aren't going to let this loss bring us down...we need to come out swinging this Saturday versus the University of Hartford.
We need to play four solid quarters of lacrosse. We struggled in the fourth quarter against Hobart and we struggled this Saturday against OSU. Luckily, we pulled it together versus Hobart but we weren't so fortunate this Saturday. We had a comfortable lead but let it slip away in the last 15 minutes. It is essential that we play 60-solid minutes of lacrosse against Hartford. We need to accomplish this goal in order to get back on the winning track.
Saturday was 'Quinnipiac Lacrosse Alumni Day". It was great to see some guys that I hadn't seen in quite some time as well as meet some past-Quinnipiac lacrosse players. Most of the alumni found a nice spot right behind our bench to offer their full support. Despite the loss, it was nice to hang out with some old friends, share some stories and eat incredible food at the post-game tailgate.
Apparently the "Kaiser's Korner" fan-base is growing because I was asked to mention a lot of names for this week's edition. Adam Bartholomew '07 gave me the run down on being in the "real world"...it doesn't seem that appealing. Mike Annunziata '09 asked me to throw out his Dunkin Donuts bag halfway through the second quarter...luckily I am a good friend and performed the task. I overheard Eddie Morley '06 offering his support to Coach Frady with his decision to put on "Goodfellas" for the trip up to Hobart. I woke up Sunday morning to 2007 graduates Mike Stottler, Chris Griffin and John D'Ascoli cooking breakfast in my kitchen. Apparently I was wrong when I thought they were cooking for me...thanks guys, it was fun cleaning up your mess.
On a completely non-lacrosse related topic, who do you think would win in a fight between a polar bear and a tiger? The Sports Information Department here at Quinnipiac has been having this debate over the last month and I figured that I would make it public. Check next week's edition for a more in-depth analysis on this battle of epic proportions.
