The Quinnipiac University men's lacrosse team concludes the 2010 season Saturday, when it plays host to intrastate ECAC foe Fairfield on Senior Day. At stake is third place positioning in the ECAC, as the Bobcats are currently a game back of the Stags and a win would give QU the tiebreaker. The Bobcats are coming off a tough, 7-6, loss to Bryant last Saturday, while the Stags fell at No. 3 Maryland, 17-4.

We have a quick turnaround with Bryant coming to Hamden this Saturday. We were given Wednesday off to catch our wind and prepare to have two solid practices to get ready for the Bulldogs. This Saturday is going to be another tough matchup... Bryant is a well-coached team that is very strong both offensively and defensively. With the formation of NEC Lacrosse next season, this matchup will grow into a great rivalry.

Bellarmine comes to town on Saturday. The last two meetings with the Knights have been one-goal games in which we have prevailed. We expect this Saturday to be no different in terms of the toughness of the matchup. This is the best Bellarmine team that we will have seen in four years... but we know what to expect with them, it will be nothing new. It is going to be a down and dirty 60 minutes of lacrosse and we need to come out firing. We are 5-5 with four games left on the year...this is the first step to ending the season with a 9-5 record.

Each week during the 2010 season, Quinnipiac senior Todd Kaiser will share his thoughts on the Bobcats' men's lacrosse program.
#$%^4:17 A.M. - I will be honest with you that I had no idea what was going on when I awoke to the dreadful buzz coming from the little black box two-feet from my face. Unlike any other morning, I didn't have the luxury of pressing the snooze button for the next 30 minutes. Luckily I took care of everything (by that I mean throwing everything in my locker into my travel bag) the day before so all I had to do was jump in the shower and drive over to the athletic center.

There isn't much to say about the Hartford game. For the third game in a row, the fourth quarter was tough. We went into the last quarter with a four goal lead but couldn't put together a good-enough 15 minutes to come out with the win. I give UHA a lot of credit; they are a good team who capitalized on their opportunities.
