As a junior:

Took All-New England honors after leading the Bobcats in points (26) and assists (16) ... took a team-high 54 shots ... garnered 17 ground balls ... scored the game-winning goal against Hartford, part of a two-goal, two-assist, performance ... had a season-high five points (two goals, three assists) against Sacred Heart ... also scored two goals at Notre Dame ... scored a goal and added two assists against Wagner and repeated the feat at Air Force.

As a sophomore:

Scored three goals and added two assists for five points in 13 games played ... picked up seven ground balls. 

As a freshman:

Played in eight games...A fine defensive standout...Did not take a shot.

Before Quinnipiac:

Played soccer and lacrosse at West Islip High ... an all-division pick in lacrosse ... an all-league pick in soccer... helped lacrosse team to league, Suffolk County and Long Island titles as junior and senior.

Personal:

Born in Bayshore, N.Y... the son of Laura and Gary Messina ... younger brother, Chris, also plays on the Quinnipiac men's lacrosse team ... also has a younger brother, James ... a business major.
