The Quinnipiac men's ice hockey team, in the midst of a 12-game unbeaten streak (11-0-1) were ranked fourth, with two first-place votes, in the latest USCHO.com Division I poll, released on Monday, Nov. 18.
Quinnipiac is currently 11-1-1 on the year including a 5-0-1 in ECAC Hockey play. This past weekend, the Bobcats defeated Harvard, 3-2, before trumping Dartmouth, 3-1, on Saturday night. Alex Barron (Glendora, Calif.) assisted on five of Quinnipiac's six goals, while Cory Hibbeler (St. Charles, Mo.) and Jordan Samuels-Thomas (West Hartford, Conn.) both scored in both games.
Braydan Sherbinin (Kelowna, British Columbia) became the second Quinnipiac freshman to score on the first shot of his first college shift, joining classmate Derek Smith as the only two players in program history to accomplish the feat. Bryce Van Brabant (Morinville, Ontario) also scored for the Bobcats, in their win against Harvard.
Quinnipiac is back in action this weekend when it travels to Hobey Baker Rink to take on Princeton, N.J. on Friday, Nov. 22 when hosting the Tigers on Saturday, Nov. 23, with both games set for a 7 p.m. start.
