The Quinnipiac men's ice hockey team, currently riding an eight-game winning streak, jumped two spots to the No. 5 ranking in the USCHO.com Division I poll, released on Nov. 4, 2013. Quinnipiac is currently 8-1-0 overall and 2-0-0 in ECAC Hockey.

The Bobcats are coming off a 7-2 win at Colgate on Friday, Nov. 1, followed by a 3-0 win at previously-ranked No. 14 Cornell (now No. 15) on Saturday, Nov. 2. Highlights of the weekend included a rare four-point night by freshman Sam Anas (Potomac, Md.) and Connor Jones' (Montrose, British) admission into Quinnipiac's 100 Point Club in Quinnipiac's romp of Colgate. On Saturday, it was goalie Michael Garteig's (Prince George, British Columbia) 23-save performance that earned him his first career shutout and Quinnipiac fifth win against Cornell in its last six meetings.
