Quinnipiac Men's Ice Hockey's Eric Hartzell Featured In Pittsburgh Times
Former Quinnipiac men's ice hockey stand-out Eric Hartzell was recently featured in the Pittsburgh Times on Wednesday, July 17.
In 2012-13, Hartzell was named the ECAC Hockey Player of the Year, ECAC Hockey Ken Dryden Goalie of the Year while also finishing as a Hobey Baker Memorial Award Hat Trick Finalist. The goalie from White Bear Lake, Minn. led the Bobcats to the NCAA Frozen Four and the National Championship Game while backstopping the nation's stingiest defense. He went on to sign with the Pittsburgh Penguins at the end of his collegiate career and became the first Quinnipiac student-athlete to play in an NHL game.
