Bobcats Ranked No. 1 In USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Poll, No. 2 In USCHO.com Poll

HAMDEN, Conn. – The Quinnipiac men's ice hockey team was ranked No. 1 in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Division I poll for the sixth straight week, earning 23 first-place votes to Minnesota's 11. In the USCHO.com poll, Quinnipiac slipped to No. 2 behind Minnesota despite receiving 27 of the 50 first-place votes, with Minnesota receiving 22 first-place votes. The Bobcats remain in the top spot in the PairWise Rankings, which they have held since Jan. 19, 2013. 

The Bobcats are coming off an ECAC Hockey Quarterfinals Series win against Cornell that saw Quinnipiac bounce back from a loss in the first game, 3-2, to win 10-0 on Saturday, Mar. 16 and 3-2 in double-overtime on Sunday, Mar. 17. The Bobcats are currently 26-6-5 for the year as they prepare for the ECAC Hockey Championship weekend.

The Bobcats return to the ECAC Hockey Championship Semifinals for the first time since 2007 and will face No. 7 seed Brown on Friday, Mar. 22 at 4 p.m. at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, N.Y.
