Quinnipiac has been absent from USCHO's Top 20 for the last three weeks. The Bobcats received 64 votes in the first poll of the year on Oct. 1 before being ranked 18th on Oct. 8. Quinnipiac was then ranked 20th on Oct. 15 and Oct. 22 before dropping out preceeding three weeks.
Quinnipiac's ranking comes on the heels of a four-game win streak that saw the Bobcats defeat then-ranked No. 4 Cornell, 4-1, and No. 16 St. Lawrence, 6-2. The latter came on the Saints' home ice and featured the first time Quinnipiac scored six unanswered goals against a ranked opponent.
The Bobcats are also one of two teams in NCAA Division I hockey, along with Niagara, that are currently undefeated in league play. Niagara is 7-0-0 in Atlantic Hockey while Quinnipiac is 4-0-0 in ECAC Hockey.
Quinnipiac returns to action on Tuesday, Nov. 20 when it travels to Providence College to take on the Friars at Schneider Arena at 7 p.m. Quinnipiac then heads to Amherst, Mass. to take on UMass on Saturday, Nov. 24 at 7 p.m.
