Quinnipiac Men's Ice Hockey On The Move In National Polls
The Quinnipiac men's ice hockey team moved up one spot in the USCHO.com Division I poll, slotting into the No. 19 spot, while also moving up two spots in the INCH Power Rankings to No. 16. The Bobcats also received 18 votes in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Poll, which would slot thin in the No. 20 spot.
Quinnipiac was idle this week and enter a mid-week game against Princeton on Tuesday, Nov. 1 at 6-2-0 overall. Quinnipiac's next three games are on the road, as they also travel to Dartmouth on Friday, Nov. 4 and Harvard on Saturday, Nov. 5.
Jeremy Langlois (Tempe, Ariz.) is pacing the Bobcats at a goal-per-game clip after tallying eight goals through Quinnipiac's first eight games. Langlois has also passed out six assists for a team-best 14 points and is riding an eight-game point streak, the longest at Quinnipiac to open a season. Freshman Matthew Peca (Petawawa, Ontario) is currently in possession of a seven-game point streak, while he has also scored in three straight. He was named the ECAC Hockey Rookie of the Week after scoring in all three games Quinnipiac played in a 2-1-0 week.
