Quinnipiac Men's Ice Hockey's Connor and Kellen Jones Named To BCHL's Top 50 Players Of All-Time List

Quinnipiac men's ice hockey sophomores Connor and Kellen Jones (Montrose, British Columbia) were named as two of the Top 60 players in the history of the British Columbia Hockey League.

The BCHL polled its fans, and after thousands of votes, according to BCHL.ca, the top 50 players in the league's history was generated. Included in the list are the top 10 players from each decade. 

The Joneses played for the Vernon Vipers, whom they helped to a pair of national championships, for the 2008-09 and 2009-10 seasons before coming to Quinnipiac as freshman for the 2010-11 season. Kellen was drafted by the Edmonton Oilers following Vernon's last championship run.

As a freshman, Connor was named the program's rookie of the year after finishing second on the team with 24 points, as well as second on the roster with 15 assists. Connor also tallied nine goals. He was also tied for the team lead with 13 points against ECAC Hockey competition. Kellen was just as impressive, finishing as one of four players in the Bobcats' line-up with 20 points. Kellen totaled eight goals and 14 assists for 22 points.

This season, through Quinnipiac's first 16 games, Connor leads the Bobcats with 17 points as well as a team-leading 12 assists while Kellen checks in with five goals and nine assists for 14 points.
