Thanksgiving Weekend
The Quinnipiac men's ice hockey team (7-6-2, 1-4-2 ECAC Hockey) returns home for the holiday when it hosts Massachusetts (4-6-3, 2-6-3 Hockey East) on Saturday, Nov. 26 at 3:37 p.m. at High Point Solutions Arena at the TD Bank Sports Center.
Quinnipiac's tilt against UMass can be seen live on the New England Sports Network (NESN) at 3:37 p.m. (ET), with the replay on SportsNet New York (SNY) at 8 p.m. (ET). Bill Schweizer will have the play-by-play while Rich Coppola will have the color commentary. Billy Mecca will be by the bench with the sideline report.

The Last Time The Bobcats Were On The Ice
Quinnipiac lost a pair of ECAC Hockey games last weekend, falling to No. 17 Colgate, 3-1, and No. 18 Cornell, 4-0.
All-Time Against UMass
Quinnipiac and Massachusetts have split the only two games between the two teams in their respective programs' histories. In both games, the home team was the victor, as Quinnipiac won the first match-up, an overtime battle between two nationally-ranked teams, 5-4 in Hamden, Conn. before UMass topped the Bobcats, 5-2, last season in Amherst, Mass.
Umass is currently 4-6-3 overall, including a 2-6-3 mark in Hockey East. The Minutemen saw a three-game win streak come to an end when it tied Maine, 2-2, before losing to UMass-Lowell, 4-0. The Minutemen lost their second straight game on Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2-1, to Vermont. T. J. Syner leads the Minutemen with 17 points, as well as a team-best 11 assists. Michael Pereira leads UMass with eight goals, while also adding six assists, for 14 points while Conor Sheary, with four goals and 11 assists, gives UMass its third double-digit scorer. Head Coach Don Cahoon has used a platoon in goal as of late, but Kevin Boyle has logged 48% of the minutes in net, posting a 3-2-2 record with a 3.20 goals-against average and a .883 save percentage.
Next Up For the Bobcats
Saturday's game is the first of five consecutive home games for the Bobcats. Quinnipiac will host Union and Rensselaer on Dec. 2-3 before also facing Sacred Heart on Dec. 9 and Princeton on Dec. 11. Quinnipiac is then idle until Dec. 30-31 when it travels to Nebraska Omaha.
Jeremy Langlois, with 10 goals in 15 games, is one of six players in NCAA Division I men's ice hockey to have tallied double-digit goals to date. Colgate's Austin Smith (15), Minnesota's Nick Bjugstad (13) as well as Notre Dame's Anders Lee, Minnesota Duluth's Travis Oleksuk and Nebraska Omaha's Terry Broadhurst, all with 12 goals, are in the exclusive double-digit goal club.

Langlois and Broadhurst are currently tied for the national lead with six power-play goals.
Point Scoring Stats
To date, 49 of the nation's 58 NCAA Division I men's ice hockey teams have played 10 or more games, including Quinnipiac (15). Of those 49 teams, Quinnipiac joins Michigan and Boston College as the only three teams to boast five players with double-digit point totals.
Putting The Biscuit In The Basket
Quinnipiac is one of 16 teams in the country to reach 40 goals to date. The Bobcats' 48 goals through its first 15 games rank fourth behind to Minnesota (61), and Minnesota Duluth and Michigan (56) while their 3.20 per-game average ranks 18th overall.

Quinnipiac currently ranks 9th nationally in scoring defense, posting a combined 2.27 goals-against average.
Great Start
Matthew Peca has totaled 12 points the first 15 games of his career, registering a point in 11 of them. Peca currently ranks first among all ECAC Hockey freshman, and 17th nationally.
