Shipping Off To Boston
The Quinnipiac men's ice hockey team heads to Cambridge, Mass. on
Wednesday, Dec. 8 for a mid-week match-up against ECAC Hockey foe
Harvard. The Bobcats (7-8-1, 3-5-1 ECAC) and Crimson (2-7-0, 2-6-0
ECAC) drop the puck at 7 p.m. at the Bright Hockey Center.

All-Time Against Harvard
Quinnipiac is 5-7-2 all-time against the Crimson, including a 5-4
win at the TD Bank Sports Center earlier this season on Nov. 20,
2010. The two teams have traded wins over their last seven
match-ups, with the home team taking the "W". Quinnipiac is 3-0-2
all-time on their home ice and 1-7-0 at the Bright Hockey Center,
with its lone victory coming in Game 2 of the 2007-08 ECAC Hockey
Quarterfinals. In eight games in Cambridge, Quinnipiac has been
outscored, 34-8.
Scouting The Crimson
Harvard is currently 2-7-0 overall and 2-6-0 in ECAC Hockey play
and are currently in a six-game losing streak. Their last win came
on Nov. 12 when they defeated St. Lawrence, 4-2, in Canton, N.Y.
The Crimson have been outscored 25-10 over their last six games and
have allowed at least three goals in five of those six games,
including five or more in three. Alex Killorn leads Harvard in
goals (4) and points (7) while brothers Michael and Danny Biega are
tied for the team lead with four assists. Kyle Richter has seen a
majority of the minutes in goal, logging a 2-5-0 record with a .932
save percentage and a 2.38 goals-against average.
Blue Line Special
Quinnipiac's leading scorer last weekend came from the blue line as
defenseman Zach Davies had a goal and assist against St. Lawrence
and Clarkson. For the year, Davies has two goals and six
assists.
ECAC Hockey Leader
Davies is currently tied for the league lead in defenseman assists
(5) and points (7) in games against ECAC Hockey schools.
Yur(i) All Right...
Yuri Bouharevich took the team point lead with a three-point
weekend against St. Lawrence and Clarkson. Bouharevich had an
assist against the Saints while he also scored once and assisted on
another goal against Clarkson. For the year, he leads the team in
assists (8) and points (11) while also scoring three times.
Jeremy Spoke In...
Jeremy Langlois also had a solid weekend against the Saints and
Golden Knights, matching Bouharevich's output. Langlois had a goal
and an assist against St. Lawrence and an assists against Clarkson.
For the year, he has totaled four goals and two assists.
Starting To Put It Together
Assistant captain Zach Hansen currently boasts a three-game scoring
streak with an assist in each of his last three outings. Hansen
currently has six assists on the year.
Scoring In Bunches
Quinnipiac is one of three ECAC Hockey teams, along with
nationally-ranked Yale and Union, to carry 11 multiple-goal
scorers. Of those 11, eight have three or more goals, while four
have four or more goals.
Team Leader
Captain Scott Zurevinski scored his team-leading sixth goal of the
season against St. Lawrence. Zurevinski has scored five times in
his last seven games.
Scoring And Helping Others
Quinnipiac's loss to St. Lawrence marked the first time this season
the Bobcats had three players record a goal and an assist in a
losing effort. Jeremy Langlois, Russell Goodman and Zach Davies
all scored and assisted on a goal in the loss.
Spreading The Wealth
Four different Quinnipiac players scored against St. Lawrence,
while six additional players picked up assists. It marked just the
second time this season that Quinnipiac had at least nine different
players tally a point in a game.
Really Impressive
Quinnipiac is 50-0-5 in its last 55 games in which it has led
heading into the third period. It's last loss when leading after
two periods came on March 17, 2007 against Clarkson in the ECAC
Hockey Championship.
At The Bank
Quinnipiac is 43-27-7 (.604) in 77 games all-time at the TD Bank
Sports Center.
Give Me An A...
Ben Arnt became the fourth Quinnipiac skater to score twice in a
game when he netted a pair against Harvard on Nov. 20. Arnt scored
the Bobcats' second goal of the game before breaking up a 4-4 tie
with the game-winner in the third period. Arnt now has three goals
on the year.
Second Fastest...twice
Clay Harvey's first goal against Brown came four seconds after the
Bobcats went on the power play. The fastest power play goal in
Quinnipiac history was by Eric Lampe, who scored in three seconds
against Robert Morris in a 5-4 win on Jan. 23, 2009. Harvey scored
his second goal, 2:58 later. It was the second fastest pair of
goals by an individual player since Jean-Marc Beaudoin did it in
2:27 in a 4-3 loss to Union on Nov. 30, 2007.
Quinnipiac Athlete of the Month
Quinnipiac freshman Kellen Jones was named the Quinnipiac Athlete
of the Month for October. Jones led the Bobcats in goals (3) and
points (6), while also ranking second with three assists. Jones had
an assist in his first collegiate game, a 2-1 win against Ohio
State before picking up a pair of assists, on the game-tying and
game-winning goals, in a 3-2 win against Bentley. He then scored
twice to break-up a 1-1 tie with Holy Cross to help Quinnipiac to a
3-1 win against the Crusaders. He also had a goal against
nationally-ranked St. Cloud State this past weekend.
