Quinnipiac Men’s Basketball, Women’s Indoor & Outdoor Track Honored With NEC Team GPA Awards
SOMERSET, N.J. – The Quinnipiac University men's basketball, women's indoor track and women's outdoor track were honored by the Northeast Conference with Team GPA Awards, given to those teams that compiled the best GPA in their respective sports. Robert Morris claimed an NEC-best five team GPA awards, followed by four for Wagner and three apiece for Fairleigh Dickinson, Monmouth and Quinnipiac .
Saint Francis (Pa.) University claimed its third straight NEC Institutional Academic Award after its student-athletes posted a department-wide 3.270 combined GPA in 21 sports. Robert Morris sat in second place at 3.256, followed by Wagner at 3.201 with 19 sports. Fairleigh Dickinson, with a 3.1888 in 18 sports, Sacred Heart, with a 3.159 with 23 sports and Quinnipiac with a 3.149 in 18 sports.
