November 23, 2009 HAMDEN, Conn. - The Quinnipiac University men's basketball team helped honor Special Olympics Champions Sunday at the Special Olympics Connecticut 2009 Holiday Sports Classic, held at the Quinnipiac Recreation Center. The team presented medals to the winning teams and also cheered on the competitors during games.

"This was a great opportunity for us to help out a terrific organization like the Special Olympics," said Quinnipiac Men's Basketball Head Coach Tom Moore. "Our players really enjoyed giving their time and helping out such a worthwhile cause."
