Acrobatics and Tumbling Team Raises Over $5,000 for JDRF Walk on Sunday, Oct. 6
As part of the Quinnipiac Athletics Positive Play initiative, the acrobatics and tumbling teamwill participate in the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund (JDRF) Walk taking place this Sunday, October 6, on the Quinnipiac North Haven Campus. With $5,839.00 raised so far, the squad currently leads all 117 walking teams for donations.

Gina Antonelli, Danielle Burns and Cera Orner Named Acrobatics & Tumbling Captains For 2013-14 Season
Quinnipiac acrobatics & tumbling head coach Mary Ann Powers has announced the selection of Gina Antonelli (Jackson, N.J.), Danielle Burns (Budd Lake, N.J.) and Cera Orner (Shamokin, Pa.) as captains for the 2013-14 season. The Bobcats finished the 2013 season as National Runner-ups in the NCATA Championships that were hosted at Quinnipiac’s TD Bank Sports Center.

USA Gymnastics To Add Acrobatics & Tumbling To "Gymnastics For All" Program
USA Gymnastics has announced the addition of the sport of acrobatics & tumbling to its "Gymnastics For All" program. The NCATA, the national governing body of acrobatics & tumbling, will continue to oversee the sports governance.

No. 2 Quinnipiac Acrobatics and Tumbling Moves Onto NCATA Championship Match Against No. 1 Oregon Saturday, April 27
The Quinnipiac University acrobatic & tumbling team will host the 2013 NCATA National Championship on Saturday, April 27th on York Hill Campus in Hamden, Conn. The Bobcats will face the Ducks of Oregon in the Championship round of the NCATA tournament. The competition will begin at noon at the TD Bank Sports Center.

Quinnipiac Acrobatics & Tumbling Falls Short in NCATA Championship to Oregon, 277.35-273.655
The Quinnipiac women's acrobatics and tumbling team was defeated by the University of Oregon Ducks, 277.885- 273.655, in the NCATA National Championship match at the TD Bank Sports Center. The Bobcats completed a successful season with a 5-3 overall record and advancing to the NCATA Championship round for the first time in program history.

Quinnipiac Acrobatics and Tumbling Hosts NCATA National Championship This Weekend
The Quinnipiac University acrobatic & tumbling team will host the 2013 NCATA National Championship, which are set to begin Thursday, April 26th and go through Saturday, April 28th at the TD Bank Sports Center on York Hill Campus in Hamden, Conn. The Individual Event Finals will take place on Thursday evening with the team championships to take place on Friday and Saturday.

Quinnipiac Acrobatics and Tumbling Defeats Azusa Pacific To Advance To NCATA Championship Match
The Quinnipiac women’s acrobatics and tumbling team defeated Azusa Pacific, 275.03- 269.945, at the TD Bank Sports Center on the York Hill Campus. The Bobcats took five out of the six events of the meet (Compulsory, Acro, Pyramid, Tumble and Team). This will be the first time in program history that the Bobcats advance to the NCATA National Championship Match.

Acrobatics & Tumbling Claims Two NCATA Individual National Titles
The Quinnipiac University acrobatics & tumbling team claimed two NCATA Individual National Championships on Thursday evening, as the Bobcats opened competition of the three-day event at the TD Bank Sports Center in Hamden, Conn. Quinnipiac shared national titles in two out of the three pyramid events, accomplishing the feat for the second consecutive year.

HAMDEN, Conn. - The Quinnipiac Acrobatics and Tumbling team defeated the Fairmont State Falcons, 279.085-275.87, on Saturday afternoon at the TD Bank Sports Center on York Hill Campus. With the win, the Bobcats improve to 4-2 on the season while the Fighting Falcons drop to 1-5. The Bobcats came away with four out of the six events in the competition.

Acrobatics and Tumbling Hosts Fairmont State for Senior Day on Saturday
The Bobcats will compete in their final regular season competition on Saturday, April 6, when they will take on the Fairmont State Fighting Falcons. The competition will begin at 1 p.m. at the TD Bank Sports Center in Hamden, Conn. This will be the third matchup between these two programs this year. Saturday also marks senior day for three of the team's graduating seniors. A brief ceremony will take place prior to the competition.

Acrobatics & Tumbling Hosts Oregon in Home Opener on Monday Night
After weather disallowed the Quinnipiac acrobatics & tumbling team a chance to compete in Hamden back in February, the Bobcats are excited for Monday night where they welcome the University of Oregon to the TD Bank Sports Center. The teams will square off at 6:00 p.m. on York Hill Campus. The Bobcats are 3-1 through four contests while Oregon has yet to lose this year and comes in with a perfect 3-0 mark on the season.

The Quinnipiac Acrobatics and Tumbling team fell to the University of Oregon Ducks, 273.475-260.215, on Monday, March 25. With the loss the Bobcats fall to 3-2 on the season as the Ducks remain untouched at 4-0. The Bobcats were not able to come away with the victory but managed to outlast the Oregon in the Pyramid event.

Quinnipiac Acrobatics and Tumbling Garners First Place in Tri-Meet Against Azusa Pacific and Fairmont State
The Quinnipiac Acrobatics and Tumbling team defeated Azusa Pacific and Fairmont State in their first tri-meet of the season. The Bobcats trailed early, but came out on top with a winning total of 266.990. Azusa Pacific followed the Bobcats with a final score of 263.555, while Fairmont State finished with 260.695 points. The Bobcats improve to 3-1 on the year as Azusa Pacific and Fairmont State both drop to 1-3. Quinnipiac won four out of the six events while Fairmont and Azusa tied for two.

The teams will meet at 7:00 p.m. in the Richard and Vivian Felix Center in Azusa, Calif. The Bobcats currently stand at 1-1 in the NCATA while Azusa is 0-2 and Fairmont State is 1-1.

The Quinnipiac Acrobatics and Tumbling team fell to the Baylor Bears, 262.475-258.65, on Sunday, March 10, at the Farrell Center. The Bobcats drop to 1-1, as Baylor improves to 2-2 so far this season. Despite the loss, Quinnipiac collected two out of the six events in the meeting, Toss and Team.

The Quinnipiac acrobatics & tumbling team will continue its 2013 season against National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling Association opponent Baylor University on Sunday, March 10. The teams will meet at 3:30 p.m. in the Ferrell Center in Waco, Tx. The Bobcats currently stand at 1-0 in the NCATA while Baylor is 1-2. The Bobcats were scheduled to face the Bears back in February, but the meet was cancelled due to inclement weather.

Acrobatics and Tumbling Announce Spring 2013 Schedule
Quinnipiac University Acrobatics and Tumbling head coach Mary Ann Powers announced the Bobcats 2013 schedule on Monday. This is Quinnipiac’s third season as a part of National Collegiate Acrobatics and Tumbling Association (NCATA) as they welcome 19 freshman to the incoming class and 16 veterans to the squad.
