Home Series
The Quinnipiac University field hockey team will host Monmouth on Friday, Oct. 12 at 3 p.m. and Rider on Sunday, Oct. 14 at 12 p.m. at the Quinnipiac Turf Complex in Hamden, Conn.

Senior Day
On Sunday, Oct. 14, Quinnipiac will hold Senior Day festivities prior to the start of the Bobcats game against Rider, Quinnipiac Athletics will recognize the achievements of seniors Nicole Lewis (East Amherst, N.Y.) and Lauren Zimniski (Dallas, Pa.)

Last Time Out
Quinnipiac defeated Sacred Heart, 2-0, to open Northeast Conference play at 1-0 on the season. Jess Rusin had a goal and an assist while Nicole Lewis stopped 12 shots on goal for the shutout.

Climbing The Charts
With a goal and an assist against Sacred Heart on Sunday, Jess Rusin became the eighth player in program history to score 50 career points, and the first one to do so as a junior. Rusin also scored her 21st career goal, moving her up to eighth place all-time. 

Big Three
Jess Rusin is one of three players in the Northeast Conference to score 20 points to date. The other two are Rider's Sandra Penas (10-5--25) and Saint Francis' (Pa.) Carissa Makea (9-3--21).

All-Time Against Monmouth
Quinnipiac is 14-6 all-time against Monmouth, including wins in 11 of their previous 15 meetings. The last time the two teams met, Quinnipiac lost to Monmouth in the Northeast Conference Tournament Quarterfinals, 1-0. 

Scouting The Monmouth Hawks
Monmouth enters Friday's tilt at 2-11 overall and 0-1 in the Northeast Conference following a 4-1 loss to Saint Francis (Pa.) on Sunday, Oct. 7. Monmouth's two wins have come in its last five games as they knocked off St. Joseph's, 5-1 on Sept. 21, and Georgetown, 3-1 on Sept. 29. Michelle Pieczynski leads Monmouth in goals (8) and points (18) while Trish O'Dwyer sits in second on the roster with 12 points on five goals and two assists. Tara Brown leads Monmouth with five assists. 

All-Time Against Rider
Quinnipiac is 8-13 all-time against Rider with their last win against the Broncs coming on Oct. 1, 2006. Five the the Bobcats' eight wins against Rider have come on their home turf as they own a 5-3 mark in Hamden. 

Scouting The Rider Broncs
Rider is currently 8-4 overall and 1-0 in the Northeast Conference following a 5-4 overtime win against Robert Morris on Sunday, Oct. 7. After opening the season at 6-1, Rider has lost three of its last five games. Rider features the NEC's leading scorer in Sandra Penas, who has tallied 10 goals and five assists for 25 points.
