Friday Night Lights and a Sunday Matinee
The Quinnipiac University field hockey will travel to Orono, Me. to take on the University of Maine on Friday, Sept. 21 at 6 p.m. The Bobcats return home on Sunday, Sept. 23 to host American University at 12 p.m. at the Quinnipiac Field Hockey Turf Complex in Hamden, Conn.
Quinnipiac will host Brown on Wednesday, Sept. 26 in a midweek non-conference match at 4 p.m. at the Quinnipiac Field Hockey Complex in Hamden, Conn. After a road contest at Harvard on Sept. 30, the Bobcats open Northeast Conference play at Sacred Heart on Oct. 7 before returning home for a pair of NEC games against Monmouth on Oct. 12 and Rider on Oct. 14.
The No. 23 University of Maine hosts Quinnipiac on Friday, Sept. 21 with a record of 5-4, featuring wins in four consecutive games. The Black Bears are led by Cassidy Svetek, who has team-highs in goals (5) and points (10) while Annabelle Hamilton has tallied four goals and an assist for nine points. Zoe Berkey and Holly Stewart have registered a team-leading two assists through the Black Bears' first nine games. Alicia Frisch is currently 4-1 in goal, with a 1.26 goals-against average and a .759 save percentage.
All-Time Against Maine
Quinnipiac and Maine have met 10 times since their first match-up on Sept. 9, 2000. Maine holds the advantage in the all-time series, 6-4. Quinnipiac's last win against Maine came in Orono, Me. on Sept. 21, 2008 when the Bobcats tipped the Black Bears, 4-2. Quinnipiac is 2-3 all-time on Maine's home field.
American University comes to town on Sunday, Sept. 23 with a record of 3-5, with all three games coming in their its last four games. Shelly Montgomery leads the Eagles with eight points, while she is currently tied for the team lead with Alex McMackin with three goals. Gina Hoffman has dished out three assists. In goal, Ashley Dalisera is 3-5 with a 1.76 GAA and .758 save percentage.
All-Time Against American
American has won the only previous match-up against the Bobcats, taking a 4-1 decision in College Park, Md. on Nov. 11, 2003.

Jennalise Taylor (Yardley, Pa.) increased her team-leading goal and point totals with a goal in each of the Bobcats two games this week. Taylor was one of three Bobcats to score in Quinnipiac's 3-0 win against St. Joseph's in Philadelphia, Pa. on Friday, Sept. 14 before scoring the game's first goal in Quinnipiac's 4-2 loss to Lafayette on Sunday, Sept. 16.

Ashleigh Allen (Glastonbury, Conn.) scored her first career goal in Quinnipiac's 3-0 win against St. Joseph's on Friday, Sept. 14 in Philadelphia, Pa.
